I’m predicting he’ll have high major impact because I’ve observed him frequently and have gotten a glimpse of his character and how hard he works. I want him at IU for these reasons.

You definitely understand the small school dynamic then. Turn out any players that had D1 success ?

As others have said, he will have his chance to prove himself this summer. Playing against the Helen Keller Academy of Arts every week does not make him the next Kyle Guy. The kid transferred schools so he could play on easy mode and shoot for a record. I want competitors at Indiana, not guys who need to lower the competition level in order to shine. I've seen the kid in person. Yes his competition sucks and he still needs to get a lot bigger. But the skill level is there. Even as a sophomore he stands out easily on the court. His ball handling, passing, and shooting would be just as special at any HS in the state, maybe more so without being doubled all the time. It's too early to say anything for sure but it's easy to see why people are excited about him. I think you got your point across after the first post, at this point if you don't like him sharing his thoughts on the thread maybe just avoid it or better yet ignore them. Crimson and Cream Posted February 28, 2019 Posted February 28, 2019 Let me put it this way. Kokomo is a class 4A school, I'm positive he'd be this team's starting point guard if he were here. IU/Butler/Notre Dame 1

We have had numerous play at DII and III level. The girls had 2 play for the Illini in the late 80s and early 90s. We have had quite a few of our players go on to play DI baseball. Most kids aren't done at 16. Body mass/muscle is what could really be the game changer though.

Especially when they still are competing with schools twice their size

He has been working with a personal trainer focusing on upper body strength and I can notice a difference from summer camp last June to now. The way he works I think he will end up pretty built I just hope he’s careful and balances the added mass. He has such a natural shot sometimes over bulking can take away some of the natural range of motion and effect shooting. Crimson and Cream 1

EB...I feel like we would be friends if you’d go watch him play a game or two...really thing you’d come around. You read this thread for LUKE BROWN recruiting news correct ? I can promise if there is any I’ll post it the second I hear about it. When I post does it go straight to your phone or something ? If so I really am sorry I didn’t mean to flood you.

I hear ya. That was a good game other than the first quarter! Good all around for tayson. That kid is explosive. Hear anything your way about Purdue wanting him also ?.....next year Luke vs Tayson should be entertaining

Some people actually read these threads for recruiting news. We should lock this entire thread until summer. He posts a lot. Fine. There's some local bias behind it, sure. But Luke Brown is good. I experienced something very similar in my hometown with a former teammate. A school with graduating class sizes in the 40s-50s that produces a D1 player: you're damn right the community is proud of that kid. As far as I'm concerned the local point of view is valuable and will be very useful in tracking his progress in all seasons. Again, the post volume is impressive. But there's absolutely no ill-intent and he's pleasant. There are others on the board who could stand to follow suit when it comes to written demeanor. Back to Luke Brown. I'm disappointed I won't be able to make Friday's game against Delta. Top scorer vs an undefeated. In the off chance they pull off the upset I'll be there Saturday. Hoping I can catch the stream on Friday. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app IUsafety, Crimson and Cream, woodenshoemanHoosierfan and 5 others 6 2
