Your infatuation with the kid. I get rooting for a kid. Then there is ROOTING for a kid in a way that comes with a protective order. Like I make this comment of this being weird and you are the first one right away to ask what’s weird. That’s odd.

Oh and furthermore...yes I root for him...but my interest is in evaluation ( and feedback from others).  I’m predicting he’ll have high major impact because I’ve observed him frequently and have gotten a glimpse of his character and how hard he works.  I want him at IU for these reasons.

Wow....was the school you fed into competitive ? I love the little guy success stories.

Yes we have one if the top 2a programs in Illinois, both girls and boys. Our girls are one of 2 girls programs with over a thousand wins.

In 40 yrs, they have 5 State Championships, 6 second place finishes, 3 3rd place finishes and 1 fourth, along with numerous elite eight finishes. Total record is 1070-195.

Boys have a State Championship, 2nd place and 3rd place finish at State, along with numerous regional, Sectional and supersectional wins. Total record 1859-719.

EDIT-we have our own school district. So far here in Illinois, we don't have feeder schools. HS enrollment is 330.

That is AMAZING .  What is the max size for 2A?  You definitely understand the small school dynamic then.  Turn out any players that had D1 success ?

The obsessive posting all day every day is getting old. As others have said, he will have his chance to prove himself this summer. Playing against the Helen Keller Academy of Arts every week does not make him the next Kyle Guy.

The kid transferred schools so he could play on easy mode and shoot for a record. I want competitors at Indiana, not guys who need to lower the competition level in order to shine.

I've seen the kid in person. Yes his competition sucks and he still needs to get a lot bigger. But the skill level is there. Even as a sophomore he stands out easily on the court. His ball handling, passing, and shooting would be just as special at any HS in the state, maybe more so without being doubled all the time. It's too early to say anything for sure but it's easy to see why people are excited about him. I think you got your point across after the first post, at this point if you don't like him sharing his thoughts on the thread maybe just avoid it or better yet ignore them.

618 is cutoff. We have had 2 play at the mid major level, my uncle in the mid to late 60s and another kid who played for EIU in the early 2000s. We have had numerous play at DII and III level. The girls had 2 play for the Illini in the late 80s and early 90s.
We have had quite a few of our players go on to play DI baseball. Our baseball program is very successful also

Let me put it this way. Kokomo is a class 4A school, I'm positive he'd be this team's starting point guard if he were here.

Completely correct ....id bet every dollar I had he will put on upper body mass I’m just not sure if he will get any taller

I'd bet he adds another inch or two. Most kids aren't done at 16. Body mass/muscle is what could really be the game changer though.

That’s great to hear a school of that size can have such sustained success.  Especially when they still are competing with schools twice their size

He put on close to fifteen this past offseason.  He has been working with a personal trainer focusing on upper body strength and I can notice a difference from summer camp last June to now.  The way he works I think he will end up pretty built I just hope he’s careful and balances the added mass.  He has such a natural shot sometimes over bulking can take away some of the natural range of motion and effect shooting.

Super fair evaluation ... what are your thoughts on tayson Parker over your direction

Believe it or not that Northwestern game was my first time seeing both Taysom and Luke. I've got friends that go to Northwestern so they'd been telling me about him for a long time, I just hadn't found the time to go watch a game (the post office doesn't let you have a life lol).

“Sharing his thoughts” is the most generous description I can imagine for this guy.

Some people actually read these threads for recruiting news. We should lock this entire thread until summer.

EB...I feel like we would be friends if you’d go watch him play a game or two...really thing you’d come around.  You read this thread for LUKE BROWN recruiting news correct ? I can promise if there is any I’ll post it the second I hear about it.  When I post does it go straight to your phone or something ? If so I really am sorry I didn’t mean to flood you.

I hear ya.  That was a good game other than the first quarter! Good all around for tayson.  That kid is explosive.  Hear anything your way about Purdue wanting him also ?.....next year Luke vs Tayson should be entertaining
