Kid will definitely have a shot at Baileys record. SOS around 340 and a coach that will leave him in when they are up 40

And regardless of how poor their strength of schedule is or how long the coach keeps Brown in, people in that town are excited.  Does that excitement make someone a child stalker?  That's the point I was trying to make.

Nothing wrong with people in that town being excited but not everyone is going to join along in that excitement. I was agreeing with you in thinking he will make a run at Damon’s record. I’m sure that was some one the reason left the Brownsburg area. I’ve just spent 4 years watching TJD playing high school basketball so I can understand wanting to pump the local kid up but I also understand not every shared in my enthusiasm at all times

In all fairness, sir, how many Romeo fans had restraining orders placed on them for hyping him up?  Romeo had grown men raving on him, too (as have many young athletes) and many weren't anywhere in the vicinity of his home town and had no direct connection.  It's an open forum.  Brown plays in this guy's hometown, a very small town mind you where people know most of their neighbors (if not all of them).

I'm not saying Brown is the level of Romeo or Damon Bailey, but at the same time, he just might make Damon sweat his record a bit.  To call him out as some child stalker is ridiculous and uncalled for.  I didn't want to get involved, but I'm not going to sit and let someone slam another poster who has done nothing more than cheer on a hometown hero on a forum which allows it without stepping in and calling you out.

I'm sure you'll have plenty of followers who will ridicule me for even stepping in, but I'm sure there are others on this forum who agree with me that you've taken it too far.  His posts have been almost exclusively positive and he's hyped up, like a whole lot of other people are.

Pshh. 12,000 is a very small town? If you think that's small, come step into my old hood :p haha.

Edit: never mind, that's the county population. Looks like the town has 6k.

Very fair.  I’m more realistic than I sound.  His eight missed games his freshman year will make it tough to get the record.  I honestly think the move was more about jerry Hoover and their history than scoring possibility.  His dad knew he would score but not like this

I I still say you are unfairly characterizing the schedule ...you ignored their sagrin and their rpi....3 or 4 of their games are horrible ...the rest are competent teams ....Anderson prep was their weakest opponent on senior night and he only took 10 shots and scored his lowest point total.  I want to clarify he has had 40 points games where he could score 60 if he wanted and all he does is distribute in the last quarter.  I calculated and he will need to participate in 7 post season games to make a run at it.  This years he will only get one so that’s at least 3.5 per year as a junior and senior assuming he stays healthy.

The SOS is the Sagarin SOS number. Sagarin ranks their schedule 340 not me

Sorry ...I am really high on the kid ...didn’t mean to get carried away

The obsessive posting all day every day is getting old. As others have said, he will have his chance to prove himself this summer. Playing against the Helen Keller Academy of Arts every week does not make him the next Kyle Guy.

The kid transferred schools so he could play on easy mode and shoot for a record. I want competitors at Indiana, not guys who need to lower the competition level in order to shine.

No their sagrin rating not their sos ...their sagrin rating is 158 and considers their schuedule it’s just a more fair evaluation because it accounts for the throw away schools that reflect so poorly on the sos

I appreciate evaluations of the kids play but you couldn’t be more wrong in what you just posted.  I would guess you’ve never seen him play a single time.  Doubt him at your own peril he will be a stud from that class.  I honestly think if you go watch him you’ll change your tune a la frankton assistant coach.

I know what their Sagarin number is but he also has a SOS which is 340 it’s right there in parentheses. In your opinion what was their best win this year?

Honestly ? Missessenewa who has a solid group and 1000 kids was a good win and then I was happy with 3 quarters in a frankton loss as much as any win.  The next win I was proud of would be beating jay by 20ish ( 4 A school ).  Once again I agree with you I would switch 3 or 4 games on the schedule but outside those it’s not totally unbalanced for a 2A sized school AND the schedule is out of the kids hands.

There is your answer to why most are going to question his ability to play D1. You keep saying it’s not a totally unbalanced for a 2A sized school. If there is recruit on a 2A school then the coach owes it to him and should want to feature him against other High or mid D1 talent. When Snow offers a spot in his tip-off classic you owe it to the kid to accept. When central Indiana schools want to schedule you the coach should do it for the kid. Just by glancing at the schedule I counted 5 wins against teams 300 or lower. Good thing about Luke is that he has plenty of time and opportunities to prove people wrong until then people are going to doubt the level of competition he is putting these numbers up against. Luke wouldn’t be the first and won’t be the last Indiana kid to be doubted. Just prove people wrong

I’m actually on board with you even though it doesn’t seem like it because I’ve advocated for switching those 4 schools you are directly referencing.  The difficulty is they can’t be switched that easily. 1.  Schedules are set a few years out in terms of non-conference opponents.  2. Once in contract it’s difficult to get it 3. Those 4 inferior oponentes that could be switched out for better ones were scheduled when the team was on a 1-68 streak 4. Screw snow ...he’s been low on the kid and then wants to capitalize on his attention and following after the fact to draw attention to his tournament. 5. Give them to his senior year to schedule better.   6. If your point is they habe to schedule d1 talent you are also making the point that 2A schools are generally to weak or competition to have D1 players so they only way is to schedule mostly 4A opponents.   I don’t know why 2A or even 3A teams that schedule mostly 4A schools other than Marion and new castle who are essentially 4A schools anyways.
