Foley took the mound in the 6th.  Walked 2 and balked them to 2nd and 3rd.  Infield single made it 2-0.  Whiteaker started the 7th and gave up a solo HR to make it a 3-0 ISU lead.  After a walk and a single with 1 out, Whiteaker was replaced by Seiler.  He gives up a single to the first batter he faced and it's 4-0 at the end of 7 innings.  We've managed just 5 hits off 3 Sycamore pitchers.

That Hollycross guy IU saw for five innings is probably the best arm they have seen this season and his numbers back that up (0.47 ERA). He went multiple shutout innings against very highly ranked Kentucky and Miami also so the Hoosiers are far from the first high powered offense he has completely befuddled .

Just one of those days. Focus on winning the Iowa series which is most important. RPI will stay between 25-30 and keep team in position for an at-large bid should they win the games they are supposed to down the stretch.

We got 3 back in our first but BSU scored 4 more in its second and it stayed 8-3 until our fourth when we pounded out 6 consecutive hits and scored 5 runs to tie it up at 8.   Then Tibbitts got our 7th consecutive hit, a 3-run HR and to take an 11-8 lead after 4 complete.

BSU comes right back with 3 in its 5th to tie it up at 11-11.  They've hit 3 HRs off our staff.

We pick up a run in the 6th on a double from Taylor after Whalen reached on an error withTaylor advancing to 3rd on a BSU error.  Tibbitts then crushed his 2nd HR of the game to make it 14-11.  Tibbitts now with 5 RBI in the game and 38 on the season.  After Mathison walked, Pyne hit an RBI double.  15-11 IU lead after 6 complete.

While it will take a LOT of winning down the stretch to hold onto this and a top 16 RPI, IU is now projected to host a regional by College Sports Madness in their latest Bracketology:

https://www.collegesportsmadness.com/baseball/bracketology

A nice change of pace after the last couple years to be talking about whether team is hosting and not whether they are in at all. Not that different from the basketball team this year going from not in or barely in, to safely in and question being if they get a top four protected seed (note the top 16 teams host in baseball just like women's basketball except all are made one seeds instead of one through four).

Just take care of business the next 8 games and let's see where we're at!

I will mention... our loses are all very high quality.
