Did he even get T'ed up? If so, it wasn't obvious. Should have been tossed... there's never a reason for that kind of reaction. Period.

The number of replies defending his reaction , wow.

I was at a game tonight where a player who was unhappy about a no-call got mouthy about it, and the ref nearest to him T'd him up. It was his fifth foul, and as he left the game, multiple adults were screaming at the official that that's what he gets for not making the call. The player also got a pat on the back from his coach. And we wonder why kids these days think they can do anything.

Shout out my Lady Norwell Knights taking care of business in Regional action.

on a side note, who in the world is in charge at the IHSAA for scheduling a 3A regional game in a tiny @$$ 1A gym in Caston???  SMH!!!!

IHSAA is a joke. A couple of years ago our school traveled almost three hours for a “regional “ game while the opponent traveled 20 minutes. Still letting teams play sectional on home court too.

They've played sectionals on home courts since the inception of IHSAA basketball. I am not sure how else you could do it?

Switch out two schools from adjoining sectionals who are hosting or move the sectional to another class school in the area.

Host sites are determined well before the tournament starts so that the host schools have time to prepare and make sure they have staff who can work the event. Doing that on 1-2 days notice wouldn't be easy. In your scenario of switching hosts, not really fair to the staff of one school to make them host another team's sectional when their own team is playing elsewhere.

So it’s fair to play on your home floor? You wouldn’t do this on one or two days notice you switch a year ahead.

This is freaking killing me. I’ve been keeping an eye on this for ticket info for weeks. Still nothing. The old Geico website is rebranded as hsbasketballnationals.com and is currently a dead link. I’m genuinely wondering if it’s not a publicly attended event now, though it always has been in the past. So strange.

Have you tried contacting the Brownsburg AD to see if he can shed any light on it?

I’ve been trying not to bug the guy because they’ve always just sold them through the Geico site and I just assumed it would pop at some point. But I probably will now because it’s only 5 weeks out and that just seems nuts.
