Coming into this season, the Teutopolis Wooden Shoes had 1 returning starter and 1 sub with any Varsity experience from a team who finished in 3rd Place in Class 2A last year. Everyone accepted this was going to be a rebuild year with a ceiling of perhaps a regional championship. They finished the regular season with 11 losses, won the regional in OT, won the Sectioonal semi final game against a team who beat them in December and were ranked high in 2A. Friday night, they beat a very good team in OT to win the Sectional Championship and advance to the Supersectional(our Elie 8) tonight. These boys have come a long way.

Boys lost to a very good Benton by 7. They were down 15 at half and whittled it down to 2 in 3rd quarter. TOs, missed FTs and missed "bunnies" doomed us. Is it next year yet. Proud of these boys. They didn't quit

This is a travesty!

Darius Adams former school... this was against Camden (DJ Wagner and Aaron Bradshaw, MM's AAU teammates and #1 team in the state in their division). Manasquan appealed after and the NJSIAA immediately denied it... people are upset at what they perceive as preferential treatment toward Camden who has been known to break a lot of rules in their public league... This may prompt NJ HS basketball to adopt video replay (probably only for the state tournament games).

Jesus, not even a close call. Easy call.

You know it's ridiculous by how the reactions changed for both teams... one of the officials even signaled to score the basket, but when the officials huddled, they waved it off... The NJSIAA and ref union are notorious for insane politics/bad policies.

Feel awful for those Manasquan kids. They watched the championship game in the stands and cheered on Camden to a victory. Learning a very tough lesson early in life, in a really tough to swallow way.
