How's everyone in L31 doing this year? Athens is 12-4 (9-2) #16 SOS #66

Looking like I should be in the NTT again, went all out on recruiting top targets, so we'll see what happens... Recruited under the assumption I'd make the NTT and be considered somewhat of a "winning" program.

I am 12-4 and ranked 36th cause of a weak SOS and my margin of victory is only +5 due to a 32 point loss early. Recruiting wise I should be alright. Two local top 20 kids that want to stay local and a winner. The others that are local aren’t making NTT.

Brutal. Recruiting a mess then?

Yes, but not because of the hot start. I had already pegged us to be around .500, so that was no surprise. Plus, factor in last year being below .500, I knew we wouldn't being going after players wanting to play on a winning team, instead focusing on skilled, high impact players. I definitely found guys that would certainly help, but so did the vast majority of coaches in the league. My top 7 include 1, 4, 14, 26, and 33 most recruited, and my 8th highest RP player is my only clear lead. Definitely hoping to bust some huge ties, or we'll be looking at circling down the drain next year.

I've really struggled the two years I've had my team -- still trying to figure out all of the nuances -- but really lack size.  Pretty much stuck playing my best player -- a 6'5" guy -- at power forward because of my lack of size.  He's a jack of all trades -- averages 11 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists -- but he's really better off at being a shooting guard or small forward, just don't have the size or talent to move him.

My team (Wilmington Warlords) put together their best game of the year today and won 89-51 but that only improved my record this year to 7-13.  Recruited some size, but there seems to be so many teams going after big guys with talent that it's hard to get them.

Me too. The team I faced was the # 4 ranked team and they happened to be a 4 seed... 2 loss team. Good showing but no defense and lost by 8.

I made a real dumb mistake. Thought his stud freshman was still at PG, so I moved my assist machine PG to the bench in favor of an E defender to throw him off. His freshman ended up at SG, and my PG really didn't do enough to win. Oh well.
