This fight makes no sense.. One of, if not THE greatest pound for pound boxers in the history of the sport against a guy who's had a few amateur boxing matches. Would have rather seen this fight under some sort of hybrid MMA/boxing rules... Mcgregor is going to be completely outclassed and probably be Floyd's first knockout since 2011.
I'll watch, but I really am not excited for this at all.

I just mean that as a "fight" it doesn't make sense.. I'll watch, and it'll attract a lot of money and hype. But the fight itself will probably suck.

The fight will probably suck, but most have the last few years that were hyped. I agree the fight will probably suck.

It'll probably suck, but I'm interested in it. It'll be interesting to see what an MMA guy can do against a boxer.

Really though...I saw Teddy Atlas on ESPN a few weeks ago saying that if the fight were to happen, he wouldn't be surprised to see Conor turn it into the ultimate money grab by taking Floyd to the mat in the middle of the fight. Now obviously Floyd's security would have it broken up in seconds and the fight would be over, but I just don't see any way that there aren't any stunts pulled.

Also on an unrelated note, I couldn't really care less about either sport, but am interested in this, so it's already working.

It's in the contract he can't. Or he loses a ton of money. I could see him fake like he is going in for a double leg. But he won't do it.

And that would still only be a fraction of a percent of the damage Floyd has done to women. I hope McGregor takes the L on that chunk of money and fatally scissor kicks him in the back of the head.

Day before the fight and I still have practically no interest.  I'd love to see a POS like Mayweather get his head knocked off his shoulders, but he's facing a non-boxer under boxing rules.  It'll be like his other fights, run 20 miles and save the punches for the unfortunate women in his life.

Hey, there's a thought.  Maybe McGregor should wear a wig; maybe Mayweather gets confused and tries to trade hands but at least it would be friggin' hilarious (although McGregor would be one ugly woman, woof).

I'm not a fan of boxing.  I get that its an ancient contest and could be interpreted as the ultimate way to determine superiority or whatever.  It's also barbaric and those are real brains getting jostled around.  MMA is slightly better, in that at least you can win by arm bar instead of brain-shaking.  

This is a huge cultural event, that's all.  Floyd should win easily.  I guess I'll give Conor the proverbial puncher's chance, because if the phrase ever had meaning, it's here.  The fighters and the promoters all know that millions will pay to watch if the Fightin' Irishman can land a punch on the Wife-Beating, Non-Reading Black Man.  "Give the people what they want."  And they'll enjoy the fortunes they receive until they're drooling and mad at 45 years old.
