Even if it wasnt Purdue it was Cal if he had his choice and MSU as well. We werent really in the picture....the entire time. Not a miss I dont really blame crean for him either.

Yeah except our resident recruiting gurus have stated many, many times that Blueitt was NOT coming to IU to play second fiddle to Yogi, again. So, did Crean miss on Blueitt, or pick the better player? Personally, I pick Yogi.

It wouldn't have been Yogi. It would have been JBJ as they were the same class. Blueitt played with Yogi in HS.

Yeah I've still heard multiple times on this board that Blueitt wasn't coming after Yogi committed here. Didn't want to play behind Yogi in college after playing behind him in high school or something.

Maybe im remembering incorrectly, because I would expect you to know that better than myself, but that what I recall seeing on this board. Agreed though, it seemed weird when I heard it.

I remember hearing this as well. Even while Blueitts recruiting is as going on. Did seem a little childish when I heard it, but who knows.

Yeah, that was the rumors regarding Bluiett. Didn't want to be second fiddle to Yogi supposedly. Blackmon might have factored in some too.

• Kyle Guy (Virginia) 
• TJ Leaf (UCLA)

Kyle Guy is killing it at UVA right now. Mr Basketball in Indiana.

TJ Leaf went to HS in California, but he's dad was from Indy and his mom from Evansville.  

Oh yeah, and I think he was mentioned, but Kris Wilkes heading out west to UCLA next year, too.

Ha that's crazy on Blueitt's part. I don't remember that, but doesn't hurt my feelings anymore we didn't get him. I remember watching him as Freshman on that championship team with Yogi. I thought he was the best player on the floor. Still glad Yogi came here.

Similar situation with DSR, who was in Yogi's class. That one makes more sense since they were both PG's. I think we were taking one or the other. (We chose right, even though DSR was good)
