Class of '66 Old Fart Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 Really not a recruiting topic since she's already joined the team but didn't feel it warranted its own thread. Grace Withrow, a 5-4 guard and 2015 graduate of Valparaiso HS (IN), has joined the Indiana team as a walk-on. http://www.nwitimes.com/sports/basketball/college/valpo-high-grad-grace-withrow-added-to-iu-women-s/article_052aa480-87ec-5bdf-b5d3-d0892eb850f8.html IUsafety, mamasa and HoosierAloha 3 Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted October 27, 2017 Posted October 27, 2017 Angel Reese, 6-3 W, St. Frances Acad. (MD-2020), has picked up offers from Indiana and Penn State; she now has seven Big Ten offers. From last March in a semifinal game of the Dick'S High School Nationals. http://usatodayhss.com/2017/no-2-seed-hamilton-heights-christian-holds-off-no-3-seed-st-frances-academy-in-overtime Freshman guard Angel Reese led St. Frances with 24 rebounds and 20 points, including nine points in the fourth quarter, none bigger than a putback at the buzzer to send the game into overtime. She also hit two free throws to put St. Frances up 55-54 early in overtime. “Angel Reese had a great game and Mia Davis (who had 13 points) played stellar,” St. Frances coach Jerome Shelton said. “Angel’s mother was a very good rebounder. I think she led the nation at (University of Maryland-Baltimore County). She has good basketball DNA and great instincts. She wants the ball and essentially good rebounding is getting the ball.” ESPN WayneFleekHoosier, mamasa and HoosierAloha 3 Quote
