Really proud of the way we played today. Maryland just hit their shots. Frustrating to blow that lead late, but they are no doubt more talented than us. If TJD's last second shot went in, Archie has changed as a coach and team is "turning things around". But it goes out, and he still doesn't get it and the fans just accept losses. lol.

Just found out about this kid today, had no idea he's been on campus for a visit already. Based on the video, I like the type of player he is. Definitely a 4 year type of guy you need on your team. I like that he's 6'9'', Archie clearly trying to make sure we never have to battle through the B1G gauntlet with a 6'7" center again. I'd be excited to get his commitment, we need a building block type of player at the C position. Helps ensure guys like Furst and Kaufman they won't be stuck playing the 5.

Are we sure this kid's numbers aren't from warmups/practice? Good Lord....

Brooks made such a bad decision, it cannot be overstated enough. 7 minutes in an OT game?!? Clearly a message is being sent there. No doubt he has to feel lied to in regards to Cal, but on the other side he was getting roughly 18 minutes per game up until a week or two ago. Started plenty of games too, so it's not like he hasn't had his chances. No way he sticks it out at UK though. He'll transfer somewhere, hopefully not in conference since I think he will be a good player eventually. He's just not cut out for the UK model/program. I can see him at MSU though.

Venturing over to the UK boards and my are they done with Brooks. No one knows why he's starting, upset he takes any shots at all, and can't believe he hasn't gotten any better since the start of the season. I seriously think he transfers at the end of the year.

This is the type of program we are now, just face it. We're a program that expects to lose at Rutgers. The administration got what they wanted. We're a business school. We're a diversity school. We're a law school. Not a basketball school.

Zero chance I watch another away game this year. Not worth the time.

Well good for Holtmann, at least all his bitching about the refs earlier this week has worked to his advantage today.

Refs are out in full force today. I get the feeling though that this will come down to OSU draining a last second 3 like last year to beat us.

They're more reliable from 3 than we are from the free throw line. Of course that happens. I don't know if it's the pack line defense or the players or whatever, but I am SO SICK of teams hitting so many 3's against us. Especially when it's in our own building.

Offense is sputtering, refs are bad, we're not getting 50/50 balls. Not a good recipe. Hopefully the 2nd half is more like the early part of the first half.

If a senior in his second semester still doesn't "get it" then it's time to cut bait. He's not going to all of a sudden be a different person. Devonte is a 4 year player at IU who's never been to the NCAA tournament. Has that ever even happened before? If he doesn't care, and is a cancer in the locker room, then it's time to move on. Addition by subtraction.

Whatever. Just get to the tournament. That's the only goal of this season now. To be a program that matters, you have to get to the NCAA tournament. If you don't, you're nobody. The journey won't be pretty, but it doesn't matter. All we gotta do is get there.

I'm starting to think this is the case. Why not just go be a millionaire at some other school with half the pressure and an administration maybe willing to play ball in the cesspool of basketball recruiting?

I'm frustrated too, but this thread needs to wait until the end of the season to be started. There's still plenty of time left to get things going in the right direction, and they're not honestly not terrible right now anyway. We should take care of NW and have a puncher's chance against Ohio State and suddenly things are looking up again.
