  1. Since I'm from his area, I'm gonna have to try and get out to a Riley game this year to watch him.
  2. Rooting for Wisconsin and UConn today. Wisconsin to help us with Garcia (in case that helps) and improve our SOS. UConn to also improve our SOS but they already lost to St. Joseph's at home so they may not be all that good anyway.
  3. Rinse and repeat with Kentucky. I just see the same team year after year. Bunch of 5 star athletes who can't shoot and couldn't care less about anything other than where they're getting drafted.
  4. Was Brooks even on the floor in the last 10 minutes? I was switching back and forth so I didn't see all of it. I did see he only had 6 pts tonight on 3/8 shooting. lol.
  5. Probably could have said the same thing at halftime against Portland State too. It seems like a trend is developing. It's a legit concern.
  6. 3 pt defense once again a big strength this season. Yeesh.
  7. By a Duke contributor who is 32/35 calling the 2020 class. Hope his parents kept the receipts on the IU swag they bought.
  8. Ugh it would probably be good for everyone not named Marquette if he didn't decide during the early signing period, but man I hope it doesn't go past that. It would kinda be deflating if we went from looking out for a possible commitment during his OV a few weeks ago to not signing until the spring.
  9. Michigan State is so overrated at #1. Tough to determine a preseason #1 though with all the departures. lol @ Keion Brooks' stat line in the first half. No one even looks to pass it to him @KeionBrooks hope it was worth it.
  10. Kansas and Duke both look like they're ranked about 10-15 spots too high.
  11. Man my illegal online stream is really lagging. I hate you BTN.
  12. Al Durham has 15 pts? Never thought I'd see that, but man I'm excited to see him play this year.
  13. That's good news but he's still visiting Marquette. Or is he implying there's a chance he cancels that visit?
  14. Rob hasn't practiced all October. There's no way to spin this one - it's bad news. The season hasn't even started yet but our starting backcourt is already on the mend. Yikes, just when I was starting to let a little optimism for the season seep in.
  15. I've heard we've cooled on Furst, hence the visit from Patterson. I think Kaufman is plan A and Patterson is next up. For some reason the staff isn't quite sold on Furst, per what I just read this week on TOS.
  16. AKA, he's not getting suspended. Hilarious, great job Hurley.
  17. This dude is legit. I would be so stoked if he committed at or following the visit. If we get him, the days of our bigs being 6'7" are so gone.
  18. Maryland's ceiling is a Sweet 16 as long as Turgeon is there. I don't trust him at all to manage talent.
  19. This feels like another case where we all get excited about a recruit that IU gets in on late, takes an official visit, then goes somewhere else. It's been quite a while since we've won one like this for a top 50 guy from out of state. I can't help but feeling like I'm getting my hopes up only for him to choose Marquette.
  20. Not sure if this has already been discussed, but Purdue has whiffed on all their main big 2020 targets now that Hunter Dickinson eliminated them. Painter's never figured out how to turn a good season into consistently solid recruiting classes.
  21. We went to 2 consecutive bowl games for the first time since the early 1990s, then fired the coach. Since then we haven't been back to a bowl game. Haven't even beaten freakin' Purdue. Couldn't even do it at home against a 5-6 rival when the post-season was on the line for both teams. What does it even mean to be "at least as likely to go to a bowl game this season"? We've gone to like 4 bowl games in 20 years. We're never likely to go to a bowl game. Recruiting has picked up, sure, but since when have you cared about national rankings? I have yet to see that translate to W's.
  22. High school coach is a stupid argument, but... He started at the high FBS level in 2012 as the linebackers coach for Mississippi, and held that job for 3 years. One of his previous jobs was in NAIA Lambuth University, which doesn't even exist anymore. After that went to Drake which is FCS, then to Arkansas State. Spent 1 year as the Defensive Coordinator for South Florida in the AAC. Then all of a sudden is the head coach of a B1G program. It was an awful hire, and we've gone nowhere but backwards since he took the helm.
  23. Well, I'd say there's one less program we have to worry about when it comes to recruiting. Zero chance anyone ranked highly in the 2020 class commits there now under this cloud.
  24. Could take a bigger blow if Jaden Ivey decides to open it back up, as is being rumored.
  25. I hope Kansas gets the book thrown at them and pay dearly. One of these cheating programs has to get theirs. Preferably not the Auburn, Oklahoma State, Miami type programs.
