If Romeo keeps having games where he's only getting 5 shots up, it'll be pretty easy to negatively recruit against this coaching staff for 5 stars. That's what I worry about for future recruits, not just Keion Brooks.

Freaking gag me. We are such a joke. Fans don't care, players don't care, and coach doesn't know how the hell to fix this. Indiana is such an also-ran in terms of sports. Athletics don't mean anything to this administration, except for the fact it's run in the black and things are done "the right way". Bonus points for promoting the whole "24 sports, 1 team" bullsh1t mantra.

Honestly if we had just 1 guy who could reliably hit 3pt shots, it would cover up a lot of holes and we wouldn't even be having these kinds of discussions. We'd probably have 3 more wins and be 15-4, solidly in the top 15, and feeling pretty good about the future. All he needs is a shooter.

Looking at the schedule, I just don't see how we get anymore than 17 wins. Scary, really.

I just don't get how Romeo can be so bad at shooting 3s. I was so high on him because I thought we finally had a guy to stretch the defense, but he can't hit anything out there.

Just look at the Purdue roster, and honestly there's no one on it other than Edwards who's better than any of our starters. And Edwards isn't even that great. Our best player is Morgan, who I love, but he's clearly peaked and was a 3* for a reason. It's not his fault there isn't much around him, and he was never meant to be the primary scorer on a good team.

We just honestly have to take a look at the roster, and ask ourselves- what type of record did we expect? I was just as excited for the season as everyone else, and I thought getting Juwan back and landing Romeo would give us a pretty high ceiling. But then the reality set in when people started posting projected starting lineups: Green/Phinisee Romeo McRoberts Smith Morgan That roster just isn't very good. Really only 2 guys you can count on to score, and one of them is a freshman who's extremely streaky. An honest-no-BS assessment of that roster says we'd go 20-11, maybe 22 wins max. We're on track for that right now. We're just not a very talented team.

I think you're inferring an awful lot from a few seconds of camera shots.

It sucks that it's only mid-January and it feels like basketball season is already over. Indiana basketball is never going to be "back". We're such a paper tiger.
