  1. Just thinking about the actual violations that occurred under Sampson, the price we had to pay, and the road to be "back" under Crean and compare that to Louisville's violations and the near certainty that they won't struggle nearly as bad as we did makes me sick. Phone calls vs. hookers/paying players
  2. Becoming more on board with this pickup. If our lowest ranked recruit is a top-150 3* in state kid, I'll take it.
  3. I just seriously doubt he contributes substantially before his junior year. By then, we'll hopefully be recruiting at a higher level anyway so he may not contribute much anyway. I'm not sure what need he answers.
  4. Yeah I don't dislike Newman, he is better than Franklin. Hopefully we get Bouknight or Ramsey, although the latter seems to be the type of kid that doesn't come to IU. Regardless, I've never been one for the "bird in the hand" philosophy. We should strive to be a better program than that.
  5. Isn't this kid close to Thomas Bryant, or was that someone else? Regardless, Stewart is probably my favorite player in this whole class. If he commits and we end up with Keion at the 3 and TJD at the 4, then oh my.
  6. That's pretty much the ideal, realistic class at this point imo.
  7. If we had Carton, I'd say heck yeah we can take Franklin and I'd be stoked about it. I love the idea of pairing an elite 5* PG with an in-state developing guard prospect that would contribute heavily his junior and senior years. But we don't, so I'm not sure we take a guard just to take someone. Hit the grad transfer market for someone top notch who wants to contribute right away, or swing for the fences on a Midwest 5* guy in the 2020 class.
  8. Wow. Hope everything is ok with mama, but also glad he comes back to Indiana to play his senior year.
  9. So do we (fans) want him or not? I know how I feel, but wonder what others think.
  10. I think most schools, including Georgia, would take that.
  11. Wow that is quite the random list of schools. He reminds me of Lugentz Dort in that regard. I bet he ends up at Oregon or Miami.
  12. I'd love to agree but I just don't think the staff agrees. We've offered a lot of guards in 2019.
  13. Who are they prioritizing over Nnaji? Time to start rooting for Kansas to land that guy then. Screw it, we beat KU for Romeo and we can for Nnaji too.
  14. Purdue's visit will be an unofficial.
  15. If we get this guy, I'd have to imagine the package of Brooks and TJD would be pretty unlikely. Still probable we get at least one of them, but probably not both in addition to Nnaji.
  16. Substitute Carton for Franklin and sign me up.
  17. Which is hilarious, seeing as how no one currently affiliated with UT's basketball program was there when Durant was.
  18. That's what I was thinking. His injury has probably caused him to put some weight back on, and he should really be around 230 lbs to be an effective big in Archie's system given his athletic shortcomings.
  19. I'm so pumped about 2019 recruiting, but the thing that bums me out is we'll probably have to turn someone away. I can't see us taking Brooks, Watford, and TJD.
  20. They're going to be so pissed when we grab TJD and possibly Brooks too. Purdue thought they had Damezi in the bag as well.
  21. I love how we're getting players from all over the state, not just Indy. Up north we got Damezi from South Bend, Phinisee from Lafayette, and the extreme southern border Langford from New Albany. Hopefully we add Greenwood and Fort Wayne to the mix shortly too.
  22. "I'm not gonna take up too much of your time" lol how many times are guys going to say this tonight?
