  1. $2,000/mo. for the Bowens? How poor are they.
  2. There's not a more pathetic fan base in the entire country. So obsessed with their rivals.
  3. The scrimmage and event is probably the most boring part of their entire official visit. They would rather be hanging with all the current players at someone's apartment, or at Archie's house, at a party, etc, but instead all the players are out on the court. Watching a meaningless scrimmage for a few hours could get pretty boring for them.
  4. Visit is the 5th/6th then probably takes a few days to think about it. The week following his visit is when he announces his announcement date which will probably be the next week. I'm going with October 18 lol.
  5. Is he actually going to Hoosier Hysteria? Hope so, and sees the treatment Romeo gets and falls in love with the environment. I want this kid bad, but he just doesn't seem like the type of kid that comes to IU. But the last time I said that was during Thomas Bryant's recruitment, so you never know.
  6. Figured this would happen, especially after Archie clearly favored Franklin. Newman will probably average 25 ppg against us now haha.
  7. God I hate Louisville. I wish they would just burn.
  8. Honestly I'm just not worried about UCLA here. I have a very high degree of confidence that Alford doesn't make it past this year as head coach. They lost a lot from last year's team, and the recruits he gets don't match the results on the court. That won't fly at UCLA for much longer. I know you can make the argument he would go there whether or not Alford is there, but I have a tough time believing TJD would commit to a coach who he has practically no relationship with.
  9. Have you ever watched either play? I've watched Damezi play, he's going to struggle guarding college 2s. He'll have time to acclimate though.
  10. Not sure I'd call him a success though.
  11. That'd be so great. We could do alternates in a way that would make even the most traditionalist fan happy. We could copy off of this almost directly:
  12. Just thinking about the actual violations that occurred under Sampson, the price we had to pay, and the road to be "back" under Crean and compare that to Louisville's violations and the near certainty that they won't struggle nearly as bad as we did makes me sick. Phone calls vs. hookers/paying players
  13. Becoming more on board with this pickup. If our lowest ranked recruit is a top-150 3* in state kid, I'll take it.
  14. I just seriously doubt he contributes substantially before his junior year. By then, we'll hopefully be recruiting at a higher level anyway so he may not contribute much anyway. I'm not sure what need he answers.
  15. Yeah I don't dislike Newman, he is better than Franklin. Hopefully we get Bouknight or Ramsey, although the latter seems to be the type of kid that doesn't come to IU. Regardless, I've never been one for the "bird in the hand" philosophy. We should strive to be a better program than that.
  16. Isn't this kid close to Thomas Bryant, or was that someone else? Regardless, Stewart is probably my favorite player in this whole class. If he commits and we end up with Keion at the 3 and TJD at the 4, then oh my.
  17. That's pretty much the ideal, realistic class at this point imo.
  18. If we had Carton, I'd say heck yeah we can take Franklin and I'd be stoked about it. I love the idea of pairing an elite 5* PG with an in-state developing guard prospect that would contribute heavily his junior and senior years. But we don't, so I'm not sure we take a guard just to take someone. Hit the grad transfer market for someone top notch who wants to contribute right away, or swing for the fences on a Midwest 5* guy in the 2020 class.
  19. Wow. Hope everything is ok with mama, but also glad he comes back to Indiana to play his senior year.
  20. So do we (fans) want him or not? I know how I feel, but wonder what others think.
  21. I think most schools, including Georgia, would take that.
  22. Wow that is quite the random list of schools. He reminds me of Lugentz Dort in that regard. I bet he ends up at Oregon or Miami.
  23. I'd love to agree but I just don't think the staff agrees. We've offered a lot of guards in 2019.
