  1. Mason Miller is definitely a guy to keep an eye on. If we miss out on Trey Patterson, which we probably will, he'd be a great prospect to focus our efforts on. I'm hoping Kaufman and Miller could pair well together, with Kaufman being more of the perimeter player.
  2. Will Wade: "We can compensate better than the rookie minimum" "We'd give him more than the D League" Wade and Sean Miller are gigantic pieces of sh1t that should not be allowed to coach in the NCAA any longer. I don't understand how either of them have jobs right now. https://www.cbssports.com/college-basketball/news/new-hbo-doc-provides-audio-of-will-wade-sean-miller-talking-about-pay-for-play-schemes-in-college-basketball/
  3. Freaking yawn. This is our university in a nutshell here: "Scott also fully understands that our athletics program must continue to be integrated into the university in all ways. He knows that our student athletes are, first and foremost, students, who are here to develop their athletics prowess while also earning a world-class education that will have an enormous impact on the rest of their lives."
  4. As long as that 4th is Aminu Mohammed, I'm more than fine with this.
  5. So Purdue is about to land 5 star Harrison Ingraham? He's a SF from Dallas. I've never heard of him but it pretty much eliminates them from landing Kaufman.
  6. 3rd year in, and we're 11th in the conference forced to play against a 7 win team on Wednesday of the B1G Tournament. I try to focus on how we've increased our win total from year to year, and will very likely get a tournament berth this year. Plus we have Lander coming in soon so hopefully we'll get more production out of our guards going forward. Still, our starting 5 outlook for next year does not look encouraging or impressive at all. Phinisee Durham Smith TJD Thompson Looks like more of the same to me.
  7. I hate thinking about what could have been if Aaron Henry had committed to IU before Damezi Anderson. Jerome Hunter still has plenty of promise though, he needs a whole offseason to really get back into it. Damezi, I'm not so sure anymore. I hope he sticks it out and is a solid contributor for us down the road.
  8. Awesome surprise for a random Tuesday night! I hope it works out for 2020, as he could provide good depth next season with Rob, Armaan, and Al assuming he's still here. The fact we could have a backcourt of a Sr. Rob Phinisee and So. Khristian Lander in 2021 is what REALLY excites me though. That would probably be the best in the conference.
  9. Western Kentucky for a 5 star. The NCAA should just set up a satellite office wherever the heck WKU is.
  10. There's another board that says he's almost guaranteed to IU. Not sure on a reclass still, seems to be against it for now. Personally I'd like it, even if he doesn't contribute much next season. His sophomore year he'd be that much better.
  11. I'm all aboard the Pearl train too. He'd kill it at Indiana, and the rest of the B1G would be terrified of an operate-in-the-gray coach like Pearl at IU. That's why they were afraid of Sampson. Good coach plus they knew he'd operate in the gray. A mod on another site has a few good Pearl stories though. Makes me think he'd never be a fit here. There's a 100% chance Auburn is paying players right now.
  12. Notre Dame have a decent chance of making the tournament? They're 16-10 now, not sure they have any good wins though. Last I checked our win over them was on the verge of becoming a Quad 1 win, hopefully that's still the case.
  13. IU basketball is no longer appointment television for me, and there's no way I can be the only one. I think the last game I watched was the Maryland game. Zero chance I would ever go out of my way to watch us in a road game. I already know the result: we lose by double digits and I get very angry in the process. Just a sad state of reality here. Holding out hope we still make the tournament, but can 18 wins get us in? Probably not.
  14. So what people are saying is we'll be worse next year? I have us 1-5 over the next 6.
  15. Yesterday is the day I believe he will lose the casual fanbase. Get ready for even emptier home games.
  16. Agree, it's frustrating now. No one covers high school sports in the area anymore. It's all either Notre Dame or professional sports coverage. Which is dumb. No one subscribes to a local paper for national sports coverage.
  17. In honor of Purdue and how much I hate them I've been giving the finger to every farmer I see all week.
  18. I know how this story ends. Time to do something productive on a Saturday.
  19. .."a development that could be a potential game-changer in the NCAA’s ongoing probe of corruption within the sport." LOL. Clearly nothing is going to be done. Will Wade is on tape discussing bribes and he's about to win a league title. I'm not sure why this is even still a story. No one will pay for this other than assistants who have already been fired.
  20. Conference tournament week is probably the most exciting time of the year. Tons of great games, and it feels like the whole week is Christmas Eve with Selection Show on Sunday and the tournament following a few days later. Can't wait.
  21. Optimistic about our chances with him since we did get a visit, but I can't help but feel discouraged seeing as how a pay-to-play school in Louisville is the only OV he has set up right now.
  22. Time to be selfish.
  23. Why on earth would you look beyond wins and losses? That's what the game is all about. The defense didn't fail to show up. Sure it could have been better in spots but come on, Maryland just flat out couldn't miss to start the game. We had 6 turnovers, scored 70+ points, were down a big man in Race Thompson, and it still came down to the last shot. Let me remind you that even the most optimistic predictions for this year's team had us winning roughly 22 games. I think we should have no problem winning 5 more.
