  1. I ain't no good at maffs, but I believe that would be an average of something like 60-0. Very satisfactory.
  2. https://www.seats3d.com/ncaa/indiana_university/mens_basketball/#/p;125__p_aa_1/ that should help
  3. Totally. I’ve always said I’d take the first 5 rows of the balcony over last 5 rows of the main floor. We got row 6. Which based on how this all shook out, I can only chalk up to timing of my request. My buddy saw it available on the website early that morning before it was widely announced.
  4. I'll chalk this up to....eh, could be worse I suppose. Still less than impressed with this whole process. But I have tickets, and not like waaaay bad tickets. Just not great, or even good, tickets.
  5. Right. This hypothetical is highly highly unlikely to play out. I’m only responding to that exact hypothetical.
  6. Yeah, it’s a funny conversation to have. I want so much more for this program. I’m sure we all do. I currently fall pretty firmly in the camp that TA is not the guy to lead this program. But if he rips off a 5 game streak including a bowl win, that changes for me and I’ll believe 2 things. 1.) TA should continue leading this program. 2.) for the past 2 seasons, when a coach was fired and Rod Carey took on a larger responsibility with this team, the team has show considerable improvement. I don’t know what else to say beyond that fairly vague statement, but it would be true.
  7. I know, which would make winning a bowl game (which was the hypothetical posed) all the more impressive. I likely have the same thoughts on TA as you do. But in that hypothetical scenario of a 7-6 record with a bowl win, which would include a 5 game win streak, we cannot possibly fire the coach that does that. Again…who the hell do we think we are? I know some will say that even with that record, we’d have only beaten bad teams. Correct! That’s fantastic! Indiana football needs to focus on beating the other bad teams and winning a crappy bowl game. That is a remarkable season for this program.
  8. The next step for IU football is getting to crappy bowl games and winning them. In our hypothetical scenario, we would have just fired a coach who did exactly that and in a 5 season stretch, had 3 winning seasons, played in 2 January bowl games, won our first bowl game since ‘91, had us ranked in the top 10 at one point. I have my own thoughts on TA. Put all the qualifiers and asterisks on the COVID season, I get it. But this is arguably the worst program in major college football. I don’t care how much money we are offering, that would be one of the biggest “who the hell do you think you are?” moments in sports history to fire that coach.
  9. Sure, I don’t think there is a chance we are in this position, but that’s not the question that was posed.
  10. We do not have an attractive job to offer any candidate. It is even less attractive with the conference expanding. My personal thoughts on TA aside, if we fired him after winning the program’s first bowl game since ‘91….holy cow I can not imagine how thin that applicant list would be.
  11. What I see here is that we are all getting our wish. Kalen DeBoer will coach on the sidelines of Memorial Stadium next season. We just happen to be getting that wish in the most IU football way possible.
  12. At that rate, with my big fat zero points, I expect me and @Hovadipo to find out at halftime of the Kansas game that they’ve set up a empty office in Cook Hall for us to listen to Don Fisher on the radio call.
  13. Bush league. Absolute amateur hour (or…weeks?). But how adventurous! Ya know, next time I take my family to a restaurant I’m going to say, “no thank you on the menus. Here is my money. Take it. We’ll have 4 foods. You take that money and, most importantly, your time, and decide on 4 foods that we will have. It can be a nice medium rare filet in about 14 to 17 minutes. It could be butt stew and take 13 and a half hours. We will wait and we will eat it. That is a reasonable and logical outcome to this situation.”
  14. I got in at PSU -6.5 so we good!!
  15. We get to this point in the season and have THAT opportunity and we….play for the tie? Cowardly is the word that comes to mind.
  16. Yeah I’m not too worried about things during the game. Mainly everything besides that. I’m 41 and have 2 kids. Trust that I ditched any friends who would be out looking for a fight a long time ago :-). I’m bringing a pretty tame bunch.
  17. Kansas fans were awesome. The appropriate amount of banter while also being welcoming. All in good fun. Buddy, let me tell you, regardless of where we sit, I’m nervous about how my friends will be treated if they are wearing blue all weekend.
  18. Yeah I’m assuming we’ll be posted up right next to you up there. The best thing I did last year during the entire Lawrence experience remains warning my Kansas buddies that our experience in Bloomington didn’t have a single chance being as easy as it was there. And yes, apologies in advance that I’m bringing along 2 Jayhawks.
  19. None for me either. Of course it’s only been a week and a half since they took everybody’s money, 2 weeks since they confirmed who got tickets, and maybe like 6 weeks since they started taking registrations so it seems a little ambitious to expect that I’d know what I purchased yet.
  20. Sooooooooooooft. Lol. I remember watching a game last year and Allen was trying to get after one of the refs and it was easy to read his lips say "That's BULLCRAP!" I couldn't stop laughing and I don't know how the ref kept a straight face. Just say it Tom! It will feel so much better!!
  21. I have to apologize. I believe I’ve accused you of only showing up here for in-season L’s. But here you are proving me wrong by showing up for off season L’s as well. Again, my apologies :-).
  22. Eh, let’s be honest, we didn’t realize it then, but he’s always been pretty soft. It’s just amplified now. But another way to say what you’re saying is that he just can’t handle this responsibility.
  23. He’s so soft. He’s a terrible leader. And he’s a deeply unserious person. If results were bad, but none of the above were true, maybe it’s a different story. But there is not one single redeeming quality you want in a head coach being displayed by ours. We’ll see how serious of a person Dolson is.
  24. Card charged! Looking forward to finding out what I paid for!
  25. I'd like to speak to the manager please.
