I just hope we are practical about this. Maybe give it until the under 8. Unless we are within 15, let’s sit TJD and JHS for whatever rest they could benefit from (don’t take this as a “the team is gassed” comment, I simply refuse to believe that nonsense) and not risk injury.

We’re out of time for wake up calls this season. Michigan will be desperate for a win on Sunday. We had that peaking at the right time momentum for 3 days. What happens from here is just a complete mystery.

I know this can be said of a lot of teams. We could get to the final four. This game is a reminder that we are equally as likely to get bounced in the first round.

Dumb question…is there not a weekly updated top 16 reveal until selection Sunday?

Watching the movement in NET rankings is fascinating to me. If I remember correctly they saw a decent jump when they beat us on Tuesday. Interesting that us losing there could end up being a big catalyst to us a gaining a Q1 win if they can jump at least 3 more spots. With ILL @ 31, Sparty @ 33 and Rutgers @ 35, we aren’t that far from having 8 quad 1 wins.

I’m most happy that we simultaneously allowed TJD to play 33 non-burdensome, somewhat restful minutes while also taking the narrative that this team is gassed and throwing it the garbage where it belongs.

I don’t care what anybody says we need to storm the court.

I have a feeling this means we should be up by 13.

I want to win very badly. Would be incredibly fun. I’m also not terribly mad if TJD gets in foul trouble and is only able to log 10-12 minutes.

Chris, obviously you haven't read the thread. We lost a game. Time to move on to next season where (fingers crossed) Kyle Tabor gets granted a COVID year and will be leading the line. It's bleak.

Yeah the team the committee said is the top #4 seed 3 days ago….with work still to do and maybe they’ll have a shot at a decent seed.

Seems there’s always a point in every season we start talking about being gassed. I can see TJD showing some fatigue after carrying the team for this stretch. But are we more tired than other teams? We play the same amount of games. Are we really gassed, like more than the teams we are playing who play the same teams in the same conference?

How many times can Bilas drool over a guy taking 2 or 3 extra steps and calling it great footwork?

Noticed Illinois beating Minnesota last night dropped them 5 spots in the NET (i'm sure there were other factors) and our home win is now Q2. But man am I glad that we've put ourselves in the situation where it's a nice to have instead of hanging on to every outcome of our quality wins hoping they'd stay a Q1 or Q2.

Has he ever actually gone through pregame shoot around/practice since the injury? I know he's been out on the floor getting shots up, but I can see this being the next step....practice jersey on going through pregame shoot around, but not ready for game speed action. Still a good sign.

This compelled me to go watch the presser. I thought it was funny that at the 1:45 mark he says, unprompted, "I got a look at the technical on Coleman...that's just energy and passion..." then at the 8:45 mark he's asked what he saw on the technical on Coleman and he says "Taunting I guess....I haven't seen it..." He says some version of not having a chance to see it yet multiple times. It was a garbage technical, for sure, but interesting flip flop there.

I’m on an absolute heater today. Hitting everything. As gambling goes I’ve clawed back everything I lost during a miserable stretch this week but nevermind that part I’m riding high and my stream of luck is flowing faster than these A-OK IPAs. That doesn’t make sense, I agree. But nonetheless, the heater stands. My question. I’ve hit the first 4 legs of a 5 game parlay with the last being Michigan on the moneyline. Should I cash out and sail off into the sunset? Or do we let it ride?!?

I had a really bad feeling about this game.

This was a fun exercise. Since I always expect the worst, I projected us to lose out, and lose the first game of the BTT and it would still project us as the top 8 seed. Which is pretty unreal that we are in that position. But let's not try to find out if that's true.

Not sure if it’s been said, but very cool move for Michigan to wear the MSU shirts.
