  1. Man if the expectation is that it’s okay to give this one away after the way we started the game just b/c we lost Race….pencil us in for the NIT
  2. Galloway on Murray. JG can’t guard anything, let alone him.
  3. I have no idea who Riley Mulvey is but at least I know ahead of time the name of the player who will be written about tomorrow for being a little used bench player that had a breakout career high 26 point night.
  4. You brought up Wommack in your previous post and then skipped right over him and went to “look no further than western Kentucky”?
  5. I, too, love lamp.
  6. Very bizarre what we’ve seen with him. Seems like a confidence thing as much as any else. He’s so much more tentative than he was earlier in the year. Wouldn’t mind seeing a set play/OOB/whatever makes sense alley oop play for him asap and tell him to absolutely destroy the rim when he does it.
  7. The trade off, yes. Depends on the opponent. I admit it could be a 5 minute experiment and I tuck my tail and go home.
  8. I’m interested in seeing what JHS, Bates, Galloway, Kopp, TJD can do. Especially if TJD is going to get double teamed consistently, having two 40%+ 3 point shooters out there from the jump would be interesting. Small overall, but if the guards box out, it could work?
  9. Of the 3 non-exhibition games that were part of the KU mini ticket package, the least competitive by far was the big marquee game against IU. Lol. Kudos to Southern Utah and Harvard for actually competing.
  10. Just to stoke this fire a bit....Kansas with another absolute banger of an alternate uni tonight.
  11. Hah...I was the guy yelling at IU fans leaving at the under 4 timeout. We showed up, we were loud, we had a hint of arrogance, and it was awesome. Sit there and eat it 'til the end!!
  12. I was standing in line to see the original rules of basketball when the Hysterics crew came up to the end. It was pretty long line but it was moving pretty fast. I don't know much about those guys, outside of following them on Twitter. I don't listen to the podcast b/c that guy's voice is unbearable. I gather most people think they have good intentions but are annoying. From that small time observing them, they were far more cringe worthy than I imagined. He cut to the front of the line while acting like he "had to film something". He was just doing a twitter live feed. 2 or 3 of the others with them tried the same thing. I have no idea how they run their collective, but they sure don't make me want to contribute.
  13. It’s the combo of getting worked over/dominated in all 3 of those games for me. We shouldn’t be getting dominated by anybody. If we’re okay saying there is no shame getting dominated by better teams, then we’re no different than any team we’ve had the last 6-7 years or more. Which may unfortunately be true. We are the same mediocre team from last season that somehow got propped up b/c of a couple timely wins in the BTT and adding couple good freshmen. We agree on the fact that we are soft. So damn soft. And yeah, I can’t for the life of me figure out how TJD seems so okay with it so often.
  14. Totally agree. Thoroughly enjoyable experience outside of the result.
  15. Soft and overrated. Fans showed up which was great to see. But we are so soft.
  16. Early returns inside the Phog….we’ve got a really solid crowd. Way more than I thought there would be.
  17. If last night was any indication, we’ve travelled pretty well. Lots of Hoosiers out and about on Mass St. plenty of high fives to go around.
  18. I can’t say I wasn’t impressed with their guards. Krissa and Larsson were pretty damn good and that guy Bal off the bench hit everything he threw up. I don’t think JHS’ impact changes much.
  19. I’m not going to lie. I love this post. I’m not convinced JHS makes the impact you say, as the UNC game was his best game, and so far, a bit of an exception. I most certainly hope that becomes the norm when he’s back in the lineup, but not guaranteed that he has a UNC-like performance tonight if healthy. Whole heartedly agree with your disappointment with TJD. Didn’t seem assertive at all tonight and we are toast if we have a hesitant and passive TJD.
  20. It’s a great question. And honestly I don’t know the answer. Damn you for interrupting my pouting with logic. But the fact remains, even if there aren’t enough teams who have definitively proven they are a top 25 team ahead of us, we certainly haven’t definitively proven we are worthy of a top 25 spot either. FFS that sentence was too long.
  21. I’m not sure what evidence we have yet that we are a top 25 team. The rebounding tonight was mostly our bigs getting out muscled. JHS I’m sure makes an impact but it don’t think he impacts much of any of their offensive boards. I’d absolutely love to have a team that is showboating down the court while the opposing team’s star is dazed on the floor at the other end (this is NOT a shot at TJD, unlucky on his part but a microcosm or the game), and blowing kisses to the crowd (who is decidedly in favor over the other team) after draining another dagger three. Give me this all day.
  22. It sucked, yes. We didn’t lose by a possession or 2. We got worked. Every run we made they had a better one. We fought well at times and folded, absolutely folded in others. It wasn’t the missed goaltend, or the flop. It’s that we aren’t actually that great. And Arizona is. I really wish we were. But we aren’t.
  23. You have to be kidding me. Like have to to be absolutely kidding me. I’d love to grasp at straws like this but they just worked us. Offensive rebound after offensive rebound. Shooting clinic. We played a title contender and proved that we are not one.
