Yeah, no doubt. Wife and I took a trip over there in the fall and couldn't stop talking about how, for so many different reasons, our souls just felt at home. But this is a ranting thread, so I won't derail with stories full of wonder and joy.

Trying to find some humor here. My wife and I have been giving some serious consideration to moving to Europe. There are plenty of obstacles standing in our way but none that can't be overcome. But since last night I can't stop laughing at the fact that one my reasons to stay (though it would never be a deciding factor) was IU hoops. I'm fine not being able to follow any of my other American sports teams. But it's been agonizing to think about not being able to sit down and watch Indiana basketball. At this rate they might be turning in to a catalyst FOR the move. Being forced to not follow doesn't sound so bad right now.

Updated.

It’s far responsible than betting for them.

Hah. I was all over Northwestern +6.5 well before the game started so that didn't matter for me.

Had to go PSU moneyline. Can't risk a 1 point IU loss.

Definitely hope for the OL to eventually be able to stand tall against the big 3 in the East, but right now I'll settle for them holding up enough to compete/win against Maryland, Rutgers, Michigan St. Purdue, and whoever we play in the non-conference. Based on where the program is at right now, give me that consistently and I'm fine penciling in 3 huge losses to the big 3 in the East. -
Absolutely, which is why I said I'm skeptical. But the only positive I can think about is we'll at least get to find out. Seems like he's had a very short leash these last 2 seasons and often rightfully so. If he's ever going to have the chance to play through some of these mistakes and figure out if he even can, it's now.

Very true. He has a ton of promise. Either him or Malik have to step up. It's a must. At very least, now we'll be able to see if extended minutes will help build confidence and consistency. I'm skeptical this is the case, but some players don't do well being yanked after every mistake they make. Now both will naturally have a longer leash to play through it. We'll see.

You brought up Wommack in your previous post and then skipped right over him and went to “look no further than western Kentucky”? -
I, too, love lamp.

Indiana Vs Kennesaw State 12/23/22 7pm BTN Game Thread

Very bizarre what we’ve seen with him. Seems like a confidence thing as much as any else. He’s so much more tentative than he was earlier in the year. Wouldn’t mind seeing a set play/OOB/whatever makes sense alley oop play for him asap and tell him to absolutely destroy the rim when he does it. -

The trade off, yes. Depends on the opponent. I admit it could be a 5 minute experiment and I tuck my tail and go home. -

I’m interested in seeing what JHS, Bates, Galloway, Kopp, TJD can do. Especially if TJD is going to get double teamed consistently, having two 40%+ 3 point shooters out there from the jump would be interesting. Small overall, but if the guards box out, it could work? -

Of the 3 non-exhibition games that were part of the KU mini ticket package, the least competitive by far was the big marquee game against IU. Lol. Kudos to Southern Utah and Harvard for actually competing.
