My understanding is they’ll be mobile delivery 48 hours before the event. A friend of mine is the one managing selling on StubHub so he made sure to specify that in the listings there as well.
-
Amazing. Our Southern Utah tix sold over the weekend. I don’t recall the exact amount but we are down to something like $40/person to go to this game so far and we still have 2 Harvard tix and all of whatever that 3rd game is still to sell. Very good chance we will also get paid to go.
-
Lol…someone just scooped up ONE of our tickets to the Harvard game for $132. So maybe the market is there!!
-
Yeah we gave staying in KC a thought but we are opting for the full on college town experience and staying in Lawrence. Found 2 rooms at decent hotel right off Mass St for a reasonable price which was pretty surprising. One kind of annoying thing is just how simple this has been because I can nearly guarantee the return visit to Bloomington will not be near as easy to book decently priced things. At least we’ll be able to drive.
-
Same. I’ll be shocked if that price holds. I’ll honestly be happy if we get $15-$20/ game back. Considering what we thought we’d have to pay for the IU game, it’d be an absolute steal. The most amazing part is I threw this idea out to some friends thinking it would be a struggle to get commitment and here it is August 2nd (maybe? I’m on vacation this week so who cares) and we’ve got tickets, flights, lodging and a Friday night resy at 715 booked. Unreal.

If anyone is hesitant about the 4 game package KU put on sale, the exact section and row we got for one game (Harvard) is on stub hub for $186/ticket. So $11 more than we paid for the whole package. I think that’s probably people trying to get lucky and they’ll never sell at that price. But if there is actually a market for the 3 other games anything like this, we will get paid to go to the IU game at the Phog. It would be very cool to see plenty of red in the building that night!
-
Also the Kansas ticket office put a 4 game package on sale today that includes the IU game. The cost per person for the package comes out to around $175. I think you have to be a subscriber (no cost) of some sort but not sure. Info should be on their ticket office twitter page. They aren’t the greatest seats but we figured a good to great seat on the secondary market will be much more than $175 so we jumped on this. We’ll just try to sell the other 3 games for cheap. Tagging @Hovadipo b/c he’s the only one I can remember off the top of my head who mentioned making the trip. Well what you quoted was not my comment, so I'm not sure how it's attributed to me. But I most definitely have very tempered expectations of this coming season. I agree that "shock the college bball world to it's core" is strong to quite strong. But given the state of both program...KU being defending champs, virtually never losing at home, and IU being the one program that people love to debate whether we belong as a blueblood or not....it win would be one hell of a statement across the college hoops world. KU will most definitely be much better than the 8-18 team you witnessed IU beat.

I will be in Lawrence. I plan on witnessing a shock to the college basketball world's core.
-
Who knows how it will shake out but worth noting that most people have Creighton ranked higher than Nova in early predictions. They very well could be the stronger opponent this coming season.
-
I think this is a pretty good formula. Doing a quick comparison to last season, of the top 25 NET teams (eliminating Gonzaga b/c they rack up quad 4 games in conference), only 2 teams played less than 4 quad 4 opponents. Only 6 teams in the top 50 played less than 4 quad 4 opponents. Right now we have, likely, exactly 4. We had 7 last season. Even if we add 1 or 2 more cupcakes, the top end of our schedule will likely have 3, maybe 4 quad 1 opponents, of which we had 1 in the non-conference last season. Overall, this is a solid improvement.

I noticed back when he put his name in the draft that in his twitter profile pic he’s wearing the jersey #4. And it’s not a pic where the number is only kind of visible. It’s front and center. Maybe he just never got around to changing the pic after his frosh season. I’m not on twitter that much so I have no clue how long that's been his profile pic. But he’s worn #23 for 2 seasons now, right? I’ve been wondering this whole off-season if the #4 signified a 4th year coming. Maybe not, but it makes you think…

Yeah, that was a very heartwarming story to follow, and heartbreaking at the same time. I didn't have kids at the time. I have a 6 year old daughter now. I just spent about 20 minutes going back down that rabbit hole and I'm am absolute mess over here. Just an absolute mess.

I’m good with this approach as well but I also hope we start getting on these holiday tournament schedules almost every season. Not just the Maui every 4 or 5 seasons. Bahamas, Puerto Rico, Legends, whatever…those are fantastic tournaments that nearly guarantee a couple resume boosting games.
-
Of course. It’s highly unlikely 4 high major teams would be scheduled. But all of the programs you mentioned would be great to rotate in.
-
I agree....in the format it has been. I'd love to see the Crossroads Classic kept around in a modified format. None of the Indiana teams play each other. Make it a 4 game Saturday or a 2 and 2 Sat/Sun split. Rotate the teams that are invited each season from all over the country. Make it an event to feature hoops in the state of Indiana. Hypothetically, imagine a lineup like this: Butler vs. Cincinnati Notre Dame vs. Texas Purdue vs. Villanova Indiana vs. North Carolina the next season: Butler vs. Louisville Notre Dame vs. Florida Purdue vs. Arizona Indiana vs. Gonzaga Of course you have to make sure it's a non-conference opponent for all teams, and nothing conflicts with the B1G/ACC challenge or gavitt games. It may not get 4 incredible matchups every season, but it would be an incredible weekend in my opinion.

No idea how well of a job this person would do, but I admit having a name like Corolla Mellotron in that role sounds pretty cool. -

Didn’t remember this. But based on the fact that Romeo is wearing it this means it was a loss during the epic string of losses I’ve blocked from memory. We must redeem these unis. They’re easily worth a 1.5 points on the spread out of the gate. -

My first thought is the same as everyone else's. My second thought is if we go another season without these unis seeing the bright lights on the big stage during a huge game at the Hall then what are we doing. Those things are straight fire (or whatever kids say these days).
