  1. Past hour
  2. Old Chestnut-yes. His solo stuff is pretty folky. The band albums are more diverse.
  3. Thanks for the assist. Ugh step brothers references should be shared with all. Stupid NFL
  4. Today
  5. One thing I would look for is to consider is playing Kentucky in Football I know it would never happen but would be great to kick the crap out of them
  6. Seem to vaguely recall listening to an album of his called, is it Chestnut, maybe, and it didn’t really do it for me. Found it sort of 1 note-y if I remember it right. So I never went any farther. .
  7. Give Cignetti and his staff get the Howard players now, and have them play Puredon’t in September. Who ya got?
  8. La Vita Nuova is outstanding. It’s what a 50-something should evolve toward. Have you heard Ned Collette? I’m on a Ned Collette bender this week. Found him a few months ago—classy, tasteful stuff.
  9. I’m listening to La Vita Nuova right now and i wasn’t familiar with this record. This is nuts. The lyrics are a little over the top and baroque for my taste but, Jesus, the vocals and just the shear atmospherics of it are incredible. She’d have been 55 or so doing this, unbelievable. Thanks for posting that piece above because this is a rabbit hole I would not have found and this is awesome.
  10. Yesterday
  11. And we have a stud 2027 point guard coming in and that class will likely improve as we show better this season. Building blocks are there
  12. Howard is FCS, but everything quoted stands. I meant it when I said D2 schools.
  13. I think it’s still tbd and let’s be honest it’s what what a judge decides
  14. Her solo albums are tons better than the Lone Justice albums IMO.
  15. Recruiting has always been a bit of a crap shoot. I’m not absolving the staff of anything in that scenario but it could certainly be a case of bad luck too. Great HoF coaches often have as many recruiting misses as they do successes.
  16. I disagree that our bench wasn’t the issue last year. They were awful and we got nothing from them. That’s often when teams were able to press their advantage. Our starters more or less held their own outside of Michigan and Illinois—two FF teams. The difference this year should be that the talent on our starting 5 allows us to build up leads and give the bench a cushion. Bench and depth are an issue but that’s largely a factor of starting over from zero again. In his first interview Carr talked about building depth through recruiting. Our 3 guys this year plus Sisley should contribute to that and we’ll start to see real depth next year.
  17. I believe they said that the 5th year would not retroactively apply to anyone already in college. Only to incoming freshmen.
  18. They both look to be desperate.
  19. Yep, who knows these days until they get on campus. Sales might sincerely want to come to IU but what happens if, during his other visits, he is offered an unusually large bag$$$$ from Bama, OSU or Miami? That being said….the positive update is certainly more intriguing than hearing we did not make his final four. Who knows what will happen, we shall see.
