  1. Past hour
  2. He shouldn't have left NC State. He had like 2 other schools he had worry about in the ACC, but in the SEC, he has about 8 to 10.
  3. No doubt the team has been seriously improved and the staff deserves a lot of credit for that. We do have a lot of big questions, though, aside from how we fill out the rest of the roster spots. Harris has never played more than 10mpg. He was Duke's 9th man most of the year, down the stretch when they had a couple injuries they only went 7 deep and he still didn't get many minutes. He only eclipsed 15 minutes played 7 times this past year - 2 of them against P5 opponents (their loss to TTU and a blow out win over ND). Duke fans have said he is a good kid but likely didn't play more because he is a bit laterally challenged. He will have a bigger role here and we're going to need him to hit shots. We are really banking on Sisley taking a considerable sophomore leap IMO. We will surely add some big man depth but at this point looks like the plan is that he will get minimum 20mpg and likely a bit more? Right now, looking at the roster, we should probably expect a fairly different play style next year. Lindsay is basically the only proven volume shooter on the team right now. Maybe Harris can be one too, maybe not. Not really Burton or Mustaf's game to knock down a bunch of 3s. Replacing Wilkerson's production will need to be a committee assignment IMO. We are going to have to see how all the pieces fit together. A lot to like too, with Sherrell and Yig especially. Certainly capable of being a tournament team. Though I don't think it's a slam dunk at this point. For me it's just as easy to see us getting a 5 / 6 / 7 seed and going to the R32 as it is to envision them missing entirely if we find out Harris isn't up to the task and Sisley didn't improve a ton over the offseason. The bench could be a serious impediment to success again next year. And if Burton, Sherrell or Yig get injured, things could really fly off the rails IMO. We will just have to see how it all comes together.
  4. Today
  5. Thursday morning at 11:00 am, our #4 seed Hoosiers will face #5 seed Washington who defeated #12 seed Minnesota 4-2 earlier today.
  6. Love that. Old dudes with zero F’s left to give going off are the most entertaining thing in the current environment. Take no prisoners.
  7. The NCAA already had Sampson in their sights before he came to IU.
  8. So far. Wade said something about wanting to go hard internationally, but he’s so late that it’s gonna be tough this year. My heart is bleeding for him.
  9. That's truly turning the other cheek considering the crimes Miami was trying to commit on him a few months ago.
  10. Yet people in the fanbase try to treat Sampson like the anti-Christ because of too many phones calls. All the while the SEC is buying houses for their players and UNC is giving degrees to kids who couldn’t read anything besides a playbook
  11. This in largest part has been what’s so infuriating as a CBB for the past 35 years. Indiana, short of finding another legendary coach or a Painter like Coach was never going to be on level ground. And when we decided that we wouldn’t cheat big enough we still tried getting NBA guys that weren’t as good, and still left early. We either needed to “cheat” which is what I thought we should be doing to whatever level Kansas,Duke,Kentucky were doing or embrace the college model and never reach the top echelon of success. We messed everything up for years. Damaged the brand by not winning. And of course don’t get any credit by trying to follow the rules. Infuriating dynamic. So in my estimation we need a gross overspend to jumpstart the rebuild of culture/winning. Fans in my opinion deserve it so much from the years of inept decision making that virtually tanked the program. And the fans continue to keep it afloat. Lets. Go. Win!
  12. You're absolutey right, it will give the cheaters the ability to cheat again.
  13. I love Dan. Got to talk to him on a couple occasions and even got to play some pickup games with him when I was younger. My uncle, Louie Dampier is really good friends with Dan. They played together with the Colonels back in the ABA.
  14. well said. the current roster does have holes, but we have a definite upgrade at point, center and power forward. and, i believe Harris, Mustaf and Lindsey are high quality and a big upgrade over guys like Dorn too. the only thing we will miss is Lamar's scoring.
  15. From University of Miami - Miami native and 2026 NFL Draft top pick Fernando Mendoza committed $500,000 to launch the Mendoza Family Fund, supporting multiple sclerosis research in stem cell transplantation at UHealth and the Miller School of Medicine. Truly a remarkable young man.
  16. Was really surprised at how much they increased the price of season tickets this year. Mine are up well over 20%. First time I've really stopped to ponder whether it's still worth it. Especially, as you note, due to the weak non-conference home slates...
  17. Agree. Roster isn’t complete, still need to add some depth of forwards (and imo on ball guard) but it’s a better and deeper roster already. Should make the tourney
  18. This will be a really interesting follow for me. Seen him play lots of times. He’s a terrific athlete who can’t shoot a lick. His whole game is either posting up and overpowering smaller guards or coming off screens or taking DHO’s and straight line driving. No 3pt game. No midrange game. Hard to see that working for him in the B1G. But the kid plays hard so we’ll see.
  19. The biggest spenders left hand want a cap, right hand don’t want a cap. The top end spenders will find a way to pay over the cap like the old days to get recruting advantages again. It should eventually balance itself out from ROI. I think this season is very near the cap. Payments have doubled then doubled again in the past 2 off seasons. They won’t double again. They, in my estimation will hold steady where we are at. Seems like 20 Million is top with about 8-12 teams there. 15 is the next bench mark with about 10 teams there. Then 10 with another 10-15 there. About 30-35 teams spending big bucks. Big question is will certain programs find ways to join party in those ranges?
  20. Lindenwood transfer guard Jadis Jones has committed to USC. The 6-5 sophomore averaged 15.3 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game this season.
  21. Yep, I'm sure that's coming sometime in the near future. There has to be a stopping point somewhere. Can you imagine if the NBA or NFL didn't have a cap. All small market teams wouldn't survive.
  22. Lettuce also doesn't know that Winker was for a walk on position. David Lee scrubbed the last two weeks of tweets, so his post about 'Wang to Indiana' is no longer there.
  23. I think Allen Graves is a strong lean for them if he doesn't stay in the draft. He's a local kid.
  24. This is fantastic. Kentucky legend Dan Issel gets extremely truthy about Kentucky's recruiting struggles:
  25. I don't know man, I see next year's roster compared to last year's....we have 8-10 players who might potentially contribute...we had 4 1/2 last season. We won't have to watch 2-4 dudes play 38+ mins a night, then Peter out late in the season. We had 3 players who contributed 0 last season. 0. Enright and Bailey would be the 11th and 12th guys on the current roster, and they started a ton last season. The holes aren't nearly as glaring as they were last year in my opinion.
