If talking heads are saying it's a shoulder or broken rib, then they were just guessing. It's not like those two injuries are related. Anyway, I think everybody assumed it was a shoulder injury from the way he was reacting in the Ohio State game.
-
I thought the same thing when I heard Fisch say it haha If it’s 2-6 weeks I’d really love to see him sit this week and get 2 straight weeks of treatment without any ware. Obviously Cig is going to play his players and Hoover is a warrior. He’ll be 100% in time for the CFP!

In Hartford CT. It'll be Mullins' first action this preseason I'm probably jinxing it saying this, but I will be pretty surprised if the final score is within 20 points Hines should have a field day against Purdue's front court assuming he doesn't get into foul trouble early Respect Painter but if he gets very good results with this roster he will really be outdoing himself IMO

Mild shoulder separations heal on their own in 2-6 weeks. Maybe that’s what’s going on since Cig says it should improve. Just a guess. Also Fisch needs to keep the injury details in house! lol

I agree with that. I would be shocked if he was taken in the 1st round now between the injury and the season he was having before that. I'm not sure if he's even a day 2 draftee, at this point. I do think he's good enough that he'll get drafted but it'll be way lower than it would have been last year, with the concussion being a large part of that.
-
That's why the NFL may pass on him, draft him much later, or sign him as an undrafted free agent. That's a risk many teams may not want to take. That's not your run of the mill concussion. Hate that for him.

Don Fischer confirms shoulder injury

Gonna always be a big what if in Colts lore if they had gotten Luck an actuaal GM early in his career. Dude buil a career on Luck and TY
-
His predecessor Ryan Grigson. That guy was constantly asking for a kick in the berries, on top of just being bad at his job.
-
There are reports that the Bears were kicking the tires on Nelson, but instead, he is going to their next opponent who also happens to be the reigning Super Bowl champs.
-
He was literally seizing on the ground.
-
Got rid of him about 9 months too late.
-
Dolphins fan -- watched the Jets/Dolphins game last Sunday and Omar looked really, really good. Had two receptions of over 50 yards. Ponds was given more play time due to injuries in the Jets defensive backfield. Did okay but did have a DPI called against him in the end zone.
-
Stunning development. Stunning in that I didn’t think anyone associated with a university could get fired for something a trivial as academics. Really surprising!
-
Painter is for real, but with Purdue's lack of NIL and Edey having come and gone without a national title, Matt's best chance at ever winning one may have already passed. I just like taking every opportunity to remind folks that Purdue has no national championships... ever... at all
-
Yeah, you can't mess around when a guy who fenced after he hit. Tua should have hung it up after his.
-
I would hope he would go elsewhere if he transferred, but I'd expect him to come back to Oregon. In the two games he played against IU last year he really wilted under the defensive pressure coming at him. Really strikes me as a player who succeeds against lesser competition but struggles mightily against a good defense.
-
That was a pretty brutal hit he took, I wouldn't be surprised if doctors said he couldn't be cleared for a very long time.
-
And if he wanted to leave, could likely pick his team from spots that were open. Hate Purdue, but Painter is the real deal. Wished he had taken the Missouri job years ago.
-
Tearing it down and starting over. Smart. Necessitated by keeping moron Ballard around too long. Very few people in sports I can remember liking less.
