  1. Past hour
  2. I guess I’m with @HoosierHoopster in that I’m happier with a dice roll shooter than with the known quantity of Dorn.
  3. That's fine, I was just answering a question. I don't really have a take on the Dorn/Harris debate. Right now, neither impresses me much. In general, I'm not very excited about next basketball season. I am looking forward to football, though.
  4. Hey gang, thoughts on getting him a bucket that fits?
  5. Of course it’s relevant. Cig - football and completely different- brought like a third of his team with him and that includes his culture and team knowledge and experience in his system. you guys seem to be going out of your way to find fault and undercut what DeVries is doing right now. Not sure why you think that’s necessary? In any event whether what he’s doing now in landing what is actually a top 3 portal class to go with at least a decent 2026 class will pan out remains to be seen, but trying to cast a bad light on it by comparison to Cig or UM (worlds different) is pointless other than to see the IU program as all doom and gloom. Unlike UM etc. IU has been flat out awful to mediocre at best for about a decade, if DeV can turn that around in 2 seasons that would be pretty good in my book. If he fails and we were to somehow miss the tournament again with this roster? I’ll be the first to shout from the rooftops— but I’ll place a wager with you that won’t happen
  6. Wait so you recognize you stand corrected because you misstated IU’s portal rank to make a point but then you reverse pivot to try to undervalue the actual rank? Ok
  7. Today
  8. I’m sure it won’t happen but, man, I really like Curry. He’ll probably end up a lower profile kid in some SEC school’s class and then he’ll get there and be the best athlete on the team and he’s gonna defend like crazy and bring insane energy and dunk on 7 footers and fans will love him.
  9. Okay Tommy Crean. What do you think about him, and are you thinking about him a lot?
  10. It's my bad. I started the convo on asking what Dorn's numbers were if you take out that 3-4 game heater he had. Completely agree that its totally unfair to Dorn to do that. But yeah, I just think he's so limited. Would have been fine keeping as a 8th-10th guy in the rotation for experience and culture and some situational stuff, but my opinion is that he is not a starter on a good Big Ten team. I don't know that Harris is either, but I'd take my chances with his upside given how well thought of he was.
  11. Thinking about Nick Marsh.
  12. Brandon Jenkins was at the UAA event yesterday as was DDV who is there again today. Per Jenkins, we also watched: Godson Okokoh playing for Canada Elite Shaq Kizzee and Drew Guy both playing for Texas Impact 4:13 M.J. Curry and Nas Anderson of the Atlanta Celtics
  13. Not buying that logic. Those games counted and were largely wins. That’s good! It’s the non-catch and shoot stuff that makes me feel moving on from Dorn was a fine idea.
  14. Dushawn London from yesterday's EYBL event - Michai White | City Rocks (17U, 2028) White is having a very strong start to the spring while playing up with 17U. Currently ranked No. 30 nationally in 2028, White had another strong outing in the loss against JL3. In a highly physical game, White impressed with his poise, decision making, intention to rebound and hit shots in the mid range and get to the rim. While this wasn't his best outing, White showed why he is among the top guards in the class and continued his strong spring.
  15. Nice timing. Jet Academy plays in 15 mins.
  16. Listed as a 4-star 6'4" SG, he attends McEachern HS in Powder Springs, GA. Plays AAU on the EYBL circuit for Jet Academy. 17. For the whole season, he was 60 of 158, which is 0.380. In a 4 game stretch he went: 4/9, 6/10, 4/9, 6/15. All 40% or greater. If those are excluded, his totals become 40/115, which is 0.348.
  18. I’m here now. Weather isn’t too great but nothing to keep a football player from anything
  19. My son is there. He says it’s supposed to rain all day, unfortunately.
  20. Mother Nature not doing us any favors with the weather. Radar looks pretty damp in B-town. But I’m not there, so maybe it’s not too bad. Here’s hoping.
  21. I tried to stay awake for it.
  22. I know this isn't necessarily fair to Dorn, but I wonder what those shooting numbers are if you take out his 3-game heater? I also wonder what Harris can bring beyond. I'm not trying to hate on Dorn, but he did very little beyond streaky shooting. If Harris can defend better, has some handling or creating he can provide, etc., he could upgrade in other areas. I don't know if he can do those things, but from what I saw from Dorn he can't.
  23. The only possible upside to Dorn that I saw was that he was out until October with his foot injury, so he didn’t get to develop his game and conditioning. The version we had kinda sucked.
  24. Dorn at Indiana: .380 3FG% on 5.3 attempts per game (2 makes) Luke Goode at Indiana: .392 3FG% on 4.9 attempts per game (1.9 makes) Goode on Illinois's E8 team: .389 3FG% on 4.1 attempts per game (making 1.6) Harris will need to make about 2 3s a game for us if he is expected to be a shooter. On 1.9 attempts last year, he made .6 per game in 9.7mpg. Hopefully the extra playing time helps him.
