    Site Upgrades

The following upgrades have been completed and should be live on the site. Turning focus over to the BtownBanners mobile app next. Updates: New Features: When you mouseover the badge showing who liked a post, you will now see a larger list of who liked that post. You can still click to get the full list. Ratings now show half-stars for the average (for example, if one user votes 3 stars and another 4, it will show 3 and a half stars) and there is now an indication if you have rated something. A "Preview" button has been added to the post editor which shows how the post will appear after BBCode processing. Tabs show how the post will appear on desktop, tablet and mobile. Users can now choose to ignore notifications for being mentioned in posts by particular users. You can now filter searches by specific forums/categories. You can now control whether open and click tracking should be used for emails sent by SparkPost. Activity Stream enhancements: The filter dropdowns now have an "Apply" button for better usability (previously you had to click outside the dropdown). The "Expanded/Collapsed" toggles are now clearer. Hitting back from a clicked item in any activity stream now remembers your position and loaded results. Other enhancements and improvements: The way dates are formatted can now be customised by language strings. For example, if you want to change the date format to "DD-MM-YYYY" that is now possible. With this change, the new default is US-style ("March 4, 1992") rather than the previous European-style ("4 March 1992"). Advertisements no longer have padding which makes them easier to position in other areas such as headers. When comparing revisions of articles in Pages databases, a new browser-based diff tool is used which is more user-friendly and moves the computation from the server to the user's browser for greater performance. Broken @mention links. Merging members could cause follow records to be lost. Email digests. Incoming emails to Commerce. Announcements expiring at the wrong time. Error when editing database records or sidebar widget. Error trying to establish external connection to certain servers. Error redirecting from http to https. Much more to come guys. Bear with us as we hunker down and get back to work.

  11. Winning with schedules like we have this year will do it. Losing consistently with your unrealistic schedule won't accomplish much. Until we have a team worthy of winning the majority of those games we better not bite off more than we can chew. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Huge loss, to me personally. I have been a fan of Hutch's since his early, early days at the Star. And after the Scout disaster, was delighted to find he had landed here. In fact Hutch was the only reason, I chose to become a member here. So sad to hear Hutch will no longer be here. But, I am pleased to know he has landed on his feet, and am looking forward to continuing to follow him elsewhere.

MSU's schedule the past few years hasn't really been what it was in the past. There isn't a team in the country that plays that schedule that's in a P5 conference. No, playing a few elites in the OOC schedule doesn't hide the fact you play 14 of 18 games against trash conference opponents. In dreamland you can schedule like that. In reality it just doesn't work. If we keep a schedule similar to what we have this year that will provide plenty of opportunities to play in big environments to show off for recruits. Go look at the top OOC schedules. P5 teams with top OOC SOS do it one of two ways; schedule a boatload of middle of the pack teams or schedule a handful of elite games and a soft creamy exterior. IU has had some soft OOC schedules in the years past but nothing like that of Marylands this upcoming season. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

  21. This all day long. The only game I see realistically coming back when Calipari quits UK in the next couple of years. I don't see us doing home and home with every top team in the country much to ex-Hoosier's chagrin. Only one team can claim a schedule like the one he proposed. It works for MSU. It works for them. At this point it doesn't work for the Dukes, Kentucky, or Kansas of the world. They a play a handful of top games then schedule cupcakes.

Even without scheduling a top 100 non conference game our SOS would be top 50. With the 4 or 5 we get annually we have a top 30 SOS annually. Even when teams we scheduled aren't what they are historically we still easily have top 50 SOS. I would like us to maintain 20-30 based on how Crean practices if we are being real. Although this isn't a video game where we can play top 10 every game. As much fun as NCAA Basketball used to be with that happening for PS3...

  42. Husband, who is a Hoosier by marriage, talked me down from the ledge today and said he'd spring for league pass so I could still watch all of Victor's games. He's actually madder about this than I am because he thinks Hennigan didn't get enough for Victor. He always told me they would never trade him unless there was a superstar in return. Starting to think it's time for the GM to go. We were watching the feed from the draft room and Vogel didn't look happy so I'm thinking he wasn't 100% on board with this mess. #ThunderUp

  43. Jun. 24, 2016 Track and Field Sydney Clute was named a second team Academic All-American by CoSIDA. She was one of 15 student-athletes selected on the women's side. Clute has already graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor's degree in Business Marketing. She is currently working towards a Master's degree in Tourism, Hospitality, and Event Management. Athletically, Sydney had a season filled with record breaking performances. She won the Big Ten Indoor Championships in the pole vault with a school record mark of 4.35m (14ft 3.25in). At the NCAA Championship meet she finished tenth, earning second team All-American honors. She followed that performance up by winning the Outdoor Big Ten Championships in May. In three consecutive jumps she broke three prestigious records. By clearing 4.31m she broke the Nebraska Outdoor Track Facility record. Her next clearance of 4.37m captured the new Big Ten Championships record. Her final mark of 4.42m (14ft 6in) earned her the outdoor school record. Clute took fourth in the outdoor NCAA Championships, achieving first team All-American honors. Clute becomes the 14th Academic All-American in program history and the first since Kelsie Ahbe earned first team honors in 2014. 46. Football commitments seem to carry about as much weight as Wimpy's "I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today." Getting a verbal from a kid just seems to make the sharks circle that much more. Nice to get the verbals but are there any stats that indicate what % of verbals become signees with the recruit's first verbally committed school? Almost seems that to be a recruit's first verbal commitment is a kiss of death.
