    2025 IUFB Season

Well….. I’ll be there for 4 quarters tomorrow. But not because anyone told me to. Wording was poor in the message. As always, winning and playing well fills the seats if the price is right. Go Hoosiers! Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners

Wow. Houston is the heavy favorite here but it’s always nice to be considered. Strong likelihood we get a nice 5 in this class. But I don’t think it’ll be Diane Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners

This feels like a Tank year for the Colts before the season even starts. Not sure the coach is in on it though. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners

He’s not going to carry the load on a winning B1G program out of the gate. Rippey maybe could. Maybe. Boogie Fland is last years example of how hard it is to be a winning Freshman starting guard. And Boogie is REALLY good.

Yeah, that’s kinda what I was hoping. Aim big, then portal. Seemed like we were turned off by the cost of the portal this past season and thought HS kids would be the more affordable way to build. But we will have a giant hole at PG and many spots. Curious to see how they get filled.

    WBB non-conference schedule?

Meh. It’s ok. We aren’t at the top 10-15 level of the sport. We are maybe top 20-30 level and this schedule gives us a shot to win some games. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners mobile app

So we’ll be portaling for our lead guard? Was the most likely scenario I suppose anyway. Let’s hope we can get Cuban to Steve Balmer our financials in the portal. Seriously though. I love what Painter has been doing for the past 10 years with coaching and the guys he gets in recruiting. It can be done without top dollar. Indiana hasn’t proven to have a clue. However, it’ll be DeVries time to give it a try. I have more faith in him than the last 2. I don’t think he’s Painter though. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners mobile app

Very strong win. Definitely backed off after the lead but a huge, huge win. Had a feeling about these guys. Strong group! Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners

Yeah, I think we will miss several on this type of action. Going after a big budget teams number 1 or 2 isn’t going to end well for us. While I think we are top 15-20 overall we won’t overspend on a single guy so these type of recruitments aren’t likely to go our way. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners mobile app

Great start by the Hoo Hoo Hoosiers! Felt good about this team and talent, and so far it’s panning out. Next weekend I’m at Kennesaw game Sat and Notre Dame/IU soccer game Sun. Can’t wait! Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners

Step 1. Taking accountability. That’s great and and a good sign. Let’s see if he has the tools to fix the issues. I’m concerned the happy feet, decision making, and general delivery left enough to be desired that I’m not so sure, but Cig and staff will find out what he’s capable of. Neither am I. However before this game and with his preseason hype I thought he’d be a major strength. After seeing him in the Cream and Crimson I’ve got major concerns I didn’t have before. That’s all. Maybe he settles in after watching film and can be an asset vs just a game manager. I do trust CIG to put us in the best spot to win games however that might mean making Mendoza a game manager and not slinging that thing around the field. Will cap our ceiling.

We agree. That QB play today will cost us close games. It was worse than many want to admit. However, hopefully it’s the worst we will see him. Next 2 weeks will give us a bigger window then the Illinois game obviously. Warning signs aplenty but time to straighten things out.
