akhosrof Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 As inaccurate as Lagow has been, we've had plenty of chances in the redzone. Many of our drives into the redzone have stalled into FGs or turnover on downs. Honestly, I'd like to see Zander be our redzone QB. Lagow doesn't seem to be comfortable making the quick decisions necessary to be effective in the redzone. With a short field, arm strength isn't an issue and Zander's legs could pose problems for the defense. Zander is a smart kid and can make quick decisions. Our redzone offense needs a kickstart and I think getting Zander more snaps in the redzone could help. lucel15, hsrtxp, HoosierAloha and 2 others 5 Quote
lucel15 Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 Did not know we allowed only 37 yards in second half. Love Tom Allen and what he has done. Look at the improvement rankings. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Walking Boot of Doom, BtownBanner6 and Crimson and Cream 3 Quote
lucel15 Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 Also to the person.... Who said Tom Allen is the basically blame for the slow starts. Maybe in this one...but being a defensive coordinator is being able to make adjustments on the fly and at halftime. Which obviously he did. If Knorr were still here we might have lost 70-14 to northwestern. That guy had no sense of change and making different calls. akhosrof Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 Safe to say Coach Allen is in line for a raise this offseason and will attract a lot of attention by other programs. I hope we can keep him... hsrtxp, Crimson and Cream, lucel15 and 1 other 4 Quote
Walking Boot of Doom Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 We better keep this guy. What a great hire. Quote
lucel15 Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 I think he is a lifer at IU as long as he does well. He is from indiana went to IU and loves being back. His son is committed and I think he stays as long as glass bumps him. Heck if Wilson leaves at anytime I could see him be our next head coach.
