Why did it take a season and a half to figure that out? They've had time and now all of a sudden everything is the exact opposite of what they have been preaching with reps. They have seen this dude day in and day out, not a peep about this. And now all of a sudden its such an issue that we have to go in the exact opposite direction. Its m9ind boggling that he has been there day in and day out, and now all of a sudden everything is different.

Pittman finding out through social media is unprofessional. So whats gonna happen to someone for that. How can an organization run out and say anything about professionalism then their players find information of that magnitude through social media. This entire organization is unprofessional, and it starts at the top.

I'm not completely disagreeing with you, but this organization needs major overhauls. I've been of this mindset for years. Its run horribly from the top down.

I actually like Steichen quite a bit. Its unfortunate. I think he is gonna get fired at some point because of how this organization is run. He is the one dude I actually truly like within this organization. And we're probably gonna waste his first coaching experience.

All true. Also true is AR has been historically terrible. If he’s not a running threat, he’s a liability. No QB instincts. Can’t make the simple plays. And too injury prone to use the way he needs to be used.

My guess is Ballard knows he has to win to save his job, so he isn't as worried about trying to let AR develop. What a mess...

Ooof.  I’d say Indy has a QB problem, among other problems.  Not sure where they go from here but Flacco looked rough.  The Oline and the running game abysmal too.

Ballard has to know he's on his way out, right? They aren't getting any better.

This may not age well at all, but I think this is happening because both he and Steichen are confident they’re totally safe. I think they wanted to get AR’s attention for preparation or leadership or some other off-field thing, doubt it was the tap out, and this was how they chose to do it. Will be pretty shocked if he’s not back in the lineup within a game or 2.

I have to say, I hope you're wrong. What has Ballard accomplished in his time there? If he's still around, it means that they are comfortable with his brand of mediocrity. They keep acting like his drafts are great, but we're not seeing it on the field.

If they want to move on from Ballard that’s completely defensible given his tenure. But you don’t draft a 20yo ball of clay with 11 college games unless you’re committing to something like a 3 year developmental timeline for him. Right now, on the field he’s exactly what they should have expected 10 games in and I don’t believe for a second they’re stepping away from him or even stepping back as far as that goes. I don’t know what provoked it, but they boxed his ears for something and if he handles it properly he’ll be back sooner rather than later.

I feel like they stick with Flacco as long as they think we might make the playoffs.  Once that dream has been killed in their minds Richardson will be back.

The latter not the former.  This from Kent Sterling -

Joe Flacco will start for #Colts against #Bills; Steichen also says Raimann is still in concussion protocol..

Yeah, and a good chunk of Colts twitter got completely sideways drawing an inference that Flacco would be the guy the rest of the year from a pretty vague statement Steichen made. I’d bet a mortgage payment that doesn’t happen.

The run game is trash when AR hasn't played. The offensive line is overpaid and overrated. Glad we have the greatest guard of all time and still can't run the ball. Best use of the 6th pick we could have had. Is there is a less impactful individual position on the football field than offensive guard in the modern game. Full back doesn't count with how little its used

We're so boring to watch the league can't even justify a primetime game against one of the new york teams and Rodgers. Cool

He is 8-17 in his last 25 starts. That includes last year with the Browns, tho that has more to do with their defense than Flacco.

Flacco isn't a winner at this point. Outside of the Jacksonville game he hasn't been good.  Dude is washed

Play Richardson from here on out. The Colts need to know by the end of this season whether he can play or not. Otherwise you start next season with the same question mark at QB you started with this season. They have to have some form of a plan going into the offseason, and you can't effectively do that until you know for sure what you've got. They aren't playoff-bound and sure as shootin' aren't going anywhere if they do sneak into a wild card. And, if that does happen and its with the kid then you know you have something to work with.

Steichen has to give him the expectation of being a passing quarterback and call plays accordingly. If he can show that he has any capacity to improve that part of his game then he gets some confidence heading into the off season grind, and he desperately needs it. All he needs to be is respectable there, and then teams have to guess how to defend. A play action between a semi-rounded Richardson and JT isn't fun if you're on the opposite side of that ball.

I’ll stand by my statement that the AR experiment is wasting Taylor’s best years. I’m sure he’s regretting not filing for FA like Saquon .

And, if the Colts want to continue with the AR debacle, I hope that the season ticket holders revolt and ask for a refund.
