Illinois and Purdue in a first to 5 field goals wins battle.

Bielma out-coaching Brohm IMO. And, Illini have no offense but Illinois’ freshman running back is really really good.

You subjecting yourself to that rock fight is more impressive than USPS watching a Big West hoops game at 2AM on a Thursday.

Down 4 after a Toiletmaker TD, Illinois drove all the way to the PU 19 with under two minutes left -- then just kept throwing it into the end zone.

Didn't even try to get a first down. I didn't quite understand that strategy.

By the way, I don't have much room to talk, because I've packed on a few as I've gotten older, but Bret Bielema is ENORMOUS ...

So ESPN has a graphic for OT thar says "Gets ball next" displayed next to whoever gets the ball next in OT. I kind of hate it. If there is one thing FOX blows ESPN/ABC out of the water with its the graphics they display during gameplay

Very good and normal things happening for OSU during a blowout of a MAC team.

17 minutes after this tweet, Pope tweeted what everyone else is pretty much always thinking: “f*** ohio state”.

He then deleted the tweet and wished his teammates good luck instead.

The targeting rule may get changed in the offseason. I personally don't think they should completely do away with ejections but instead have multiple levels of seriousness with the most egregious penalty resulting in ejection, similar to flagrant fouls in basketball.

agreed! It needs looked.  They are going to have to trust someone to use good judgement but it shouldn't be an all or none situation.

The Dude abides.

And I have yet seen a targeting called on a offensive player.  I'm not saying it hasn't occurred, it's just I have not witnessed it.  I think subjectively you can call targeting on almost every single play on both sides of the ball.  It's a lot like holding.

Iowa is just beating the piss out of Maryland tonight. They’ve had a few bounces go their way (Maryland’s best player ripping everything in his knee and fumbling inside Maryland’s 10 comes to mind) but they’ve dominated every facet against a really talented Maryland team. Looking like the best bet for a B1G CFP team by far.

I’m just hoping that this is an indication that we can totally beat Maryland on the road.

The key to beating Maryland on the road is simply getting a really hyped up Friday night game on FS1. They really love getting curbed stomped under the lights.
