What were they doing during the Tiller days. They had to have had a pretty good revenue steam coming in to upgrade. Combine that with the BTN revenue and they should have been able to do more than us. Crazy

They have had lower revenue than us for years and they subsequently have invested in the program like we have. The sinkhole in their endzone was the perfect metaphor

Yeah, they really need to expand the playoff to 8 teams. It's silly that a conference champion could potentially be snubbed in favor of a team they beat that didn't even play in the final game. If they took 8 teams, they could have 5 auto bids for the conference champions, then 3 wild cards. That's also the only way somebody like Western Michigan could ever have a chance of winning (or even playing for) a national title. Otherwise, why even have them in FBS?

Boy, Penn State sure came to play tonight.

Two years ago, OSU made the playoffs because Wisconsin didn't show up for the Big Ten final. Now, they're going to get in because of the Badgers winning it.

Tie game!

So, this is looking too far ahead since we still have a bowl game this year, but what do people think of our schedule next season? I'm glad that 3 out of 4 games from this year's B1G top 4 will be home games for us. It's also really nice to get Illwhini, Rutger and Purdue in the same season.

We're definitely gonna have to win road games. With the tougher home games in B1G play, winning 3 or all 4 of UVA, Maryland, Illinois, and Purdon't will likely be necessary. Also, Butch Davis is running FIU now so you know there will be plenty of shady about.

Are we underestimating KWilsons ability to recruit? He seemed to do very well with recruiting and especially in the South. Is it realistic to expect TA to have equal recruiting success. I do realize that TA will have great pull in Indiana but will we have similar results elsewhere?

I think he's very familiar with the south too. Before Indiana he spent the last 5 years coaching in the south and I think the immediate improvement our defense shown will help with that. Then again I guess we'll just have to wait and see because you never really know.

I know it won't happen, but screw OSU. They weren't playing when it mattered most.

They have a better resume than Penn State. Amazingly I know but it's true.

Penn State has the hardware and head to head. If the committee takes OSU it will be for the complete opposite reason they took them 2 years ago, which is probably why they'll do it.

They have 2 losses versus 1. And only had 1 top 10 win till today.  Now they have 2. OSU has 3

Very good question. My first thought was concerned too. CKW was excellent on following leads and finding under the radar 3* recruits in Georgia and Florida, that were passed up by SEC schools. Definitely have to give him his credit, the offensive line, running backs and wide receivers were always very well stocked.

At the same time, Wilson relied a lot on his assistants. Frey, McCullough and Inge are excellent recruiters. Also, after reading the latest ESPN article, hard to believe Wilson was able to make good impressions with recruits and their families. He seems like a grumpy guy. Maybe that is why Wilson was never able to land/hold onto a top QB recruit? (Sudfeld was a Seth Littrell recruit)

Coach Allen will help us a lot in state, and within that 3-4 hour driving distance to border states. Allen will definitely make a more favorable impression on families. We've already seen how recruits are absolutely fired up to play for him. I have no doubt Allen will make Florida a priority. He has enormous experience in the state. Recruiting on defense will only get better. I expect the defensive staff to stay in place.

On offense Wilson was definitely a big part of recruiting offensive linemen. However, if we can keep Frey I will not be as worried. McCullough is an excellent recruiter of running backs.

Offensive recruiting and development is definitely where I am most concerned. Wilson was an extremely smart offensive mind. It will be interesting to see what we do at OC. Is Johns staying or is someone new coming in?

When do the rest of the bowls get announced?

They said they're announcing the other New Year's Bowls(Rose, Cotton, Sugar, etc.) at 2:30. There's also a bowl selection show against our game on ESPNU.

This is the schedule list for ESPN, they've already placed a couple bowl games in there and will likely slot others in during the afternoon.
