Rutgers coach Flood suspended for 3 games and fined

Coach Flood's been suspended 3 games and fined $50K; mainly from his contact with a professor to try to better a player's grades. It doesn't help that he's had a bunch of players hit the blotter in recent weeks. The games that he's suspended for are Penn St, Kansas, and Michigan St. He returns at IU.

  And to think of such a trivial incident that cost The General his job.  Guess Myles Brand wasn't reincarnated as the President of Rutgers.

Who would replace him? Rutgers doesn't care about athletics. I guess it's s great job if you want to lose and never have a hot seat.

Anybody every been to New Brunswick or on the Rutgers campus?  Admittedly it's been 30 years for me, but at that time the city and the campus and its facilities were an absolute cesspool.

The Marching Hundred was there last year. Their band was awesome and we had an awesome time, but I was extremely underwhelmed by the town itself. The bars were super lame and the people in them weren't much better...

On away trips, anytime that we aren't in rehearsal or at the game is basically free time. Usually that involves hanging out at the hotel (if we're far away from campus) or trying to meet up with the home team band (if we're close to campus).
