ITH interviewed 'Cool Dad' Glass last night at Huber and someone in the media throng asked about the South End Zone. Glass replied there would be an announcement soon about it. I've got a hunch that this is the focal point of the announcement.

It's a donation for either the wrestling/volleyball facility or the SEZ expansion. It's at Henke Hall at MS. Cuban will be there, but he's already here for the hackathon, so...

Pre-emptive strike: If it is football, we are NOT adding a bunch of seats. It is for all sports to use. I'm tired of seeing stupid "we can't sell out" comments on Peegs and I'm sure Twitter is going to be all kinds of stupid too. And don't insult the donor for having their name used like we did with CSS.

Its a club sport, so no. Cuban is probably just there to show support.

I have been told, Cuban has made this pitch prior, and was turned down. Athletics did not want a single purpose facility.

If I had to guess the announcement is about one of two things:

 

1. They are finally going to announce the plans for the South Endzone.From what I heard it will just be a bunch of offices similar to the north endzone. No more seating. 

 

2. They are announcing that they are moving the volleyball/wrestling facility. They want to put all of the athletics facilities in the same vicinity.
