That's tough. Just don't know who you would redshirt. Our bugs are deep this year, gotta pick one, but they all play. Devin makes the most sense if he isn't full go, but I doubt he'd agree to that.

DD has already used a redshirt year!!!!!!  he will get that due to missing last year, why is he being brought up here.

Like Birdman just said, Devin is coming off a redshirt year so he would be out I would think even though it was medical.

But you're right, that's the issue...who do you redshirt? We're almost too deep because we may have guys (the freshmen minus Tom) that should be getting minutes but aren't. It'll just suck seeing guys ride the pine that could contribute. At the same time it is a good problem to have.

I would like to think the 2 fresh would be best options to give them a chance to physically mature.  Both are pretty thin aren't they?  Especially Morgan who will play the 4, but will be behind Troy, HMP, and Hartman and Davis if healthy.  A year to get stronger would do hime some good.  OG at a 3 will be behind 2 of the smalls, TW, and Hartman as well.  I would think that it would do them both a lot of good to Redshirt, but then we get back to class imbalance as we could have a huge class with Yogi, HMP, and NZ graduating, and the possibility of TW and JBJ leaving could lead to a 6 person class which would be 7 eligibility wise if we redshirt one of the incoming freshman

Call me crazy but I think OG and Morgan could push Holt and Hartman for minutes. Based mostly on upside and athleticism. Will be interesting to see how it pans out. We need Crean to find out who the best players are and which guys play best together. Going to be a tough year for him with the high expectations and tougher B1G.

I think Morgan could surprise.

He brings a toughness and skill set around the rim that was sorely lacking last year.Not sure he wont eat a lot of Hanner's minutes.

Really depends on what team they are playing against. If we are playing Purdue, I would expect a bigger lineup and not necessarily 3 guards. I would expect a 3 guard lineup against Maryland. I hope that crean will mix it up a bit to adjust for weaknesses, tendencies... Either way, that's a lot of depth and a really terrific problem to have.

Well then prepare to be disappointed! What have you seen in the last 6 years to lead you to believe we would EVER play a big lineup?  I agree we should, and hopefully with the NBA guys telling TW he needs to work on being a 3 we will at least see a bigger lineup at times this year with Troy, Colin and TB, but if you think we will see 2 of TB, HP, EH, or Morgan on the floor together be prepared to be let down.

One could argue that 12-13 was a big line up. Cwat at 6'9" and Cody at 7'

Never played Holt and HMP together this year, last year never played NV and Fisher together.  Do not consider CWat a big, just like do not consider TW a big even though they play the 4, they are perimeter players.  Our 4's this year will be TW, CH, and possibly DD if healthy.  Our "big" lineup would be with 2 of Holt, HMP, TB, or Morgan on the floor together, and I highly doubt we will see that very ofte.
