#IHSAA Boys/Girls State Tournament

Recommended Posts

Yeah I seen it. Have been talking to my brother I think were going to go up Saturday morning and stay the night so my niece and nephew don't have to be in a car for 6 hours that day.

I hate it for the girls though they would have had a huge crowd had the game been in Jeff 30 minutes from home instead Richmond 2 hours and 45 minutes from home.

Norwell gave everything Heritage Christian didn't want in the game.

It's sad that they are fantastic at recruiting.  I'm all for great education, but the IHSAA isn't the NCAA.

That is my sour grapes rant.

I hope the NH Lady Cats get a rematch with HC in the final game. Those girls took that loss personally and are ready for more!

Good luck and give them an L for me!!!

They have a guard that doesn't miss.  I think she was like 6 for 8 beyond the arc against us and also killed a very good Concordia team as well.

NH really focused on a lot on defense this year, and their offense is still there as well. You can see it in their stats, hell they beat Clarksville this year 105-20. Even in their closer games they really pressure a team into mistakes.

We forced them into a lot of turnover for a couple of quarters.  I think they also tallied 5 charging fouls.  If your girls hold their positions, you will have a good chance.

That's what everyone I know always called it too.

Good memories there. Hit a go ahead grand slam at their baseball field.

A lot of people refer to it as Pekin Eastern because Pekin High School became Eastern High school

Here is a picture of my dads class ring from 1962 it was the last class that went through Pekin High School in 1963 it became Eastern High School.
