No Holt?

Recommended Posts

Dear Tom Crean,

Remember when you said the game was "too quick for Emmitt"? Well, it looked like Emmitt adjusted to a high tempo game far better than Hanner has in his entire IU career. Leaving Hanner in with three fouls basically put us down a man as he refused to play defense. How can you blame him? Hanner is out of position 85% of the time on defense. You look very dumb keeping this kid on the bench. He freaking owned it tonight and it shows just how much out of touch you are with this team if you think Hanner is a better option in a qucik game. Have you EVER seen Hanner catch a transition pass and lay it up from almost behind the bakst? No, you haven't. Speed didn't effect Holt. Stop making excuses Coach.

Geez Camp, while I agree with everything good you just said about Emmitt, I thought that Hanner played quite well tonight!

Look at him on defense. It's scary how out of position he is. Holt was blocking off the entry pass every time. Offensively he looked okay, but with three fouls we basically had 4 players on defense. He's handcuffed

yup...you nailed it...

and don't think Hanner hasn't noticed as well...

2 games in a row, Holt has stepped up Hanner's game...we need em both to win.

yeah let's just forget Hanner, bench him, and have Holt play 40 minutes a game. He'll put up this kind of performance every night, FOR SURE.

Crean is building up Hanner's confidence, comfort, and determination. Tonight was a great night for Holt, Hanner, and Coach Crean.

Hey, Hanner is never going to be a basketball savant, and he will never have the instincts of Holt or Hartman.

Tonight, Hanner contributed to the win and played well considering he is...Hanner

Yep, that's what I said. I'm saying Holt is better than Hanner at both ends right now and shouldn't be riding the bench like he's the 8th man. Needs equal if not more minutes. Don't take everything to the Nth degree

I think Holt got equal if not more minutes than Hanner tonight.

Holt should get some solid mins. each game. I believe all he really needs is some experience. As a late addition to the team, he missed so much this summer. He may have some up and down games, but I like what he brings to the team.

Post game press conference with players. IU sits Rojo, Nick and Emmitt for the presser.

First three questions are all for Emmitt. Moderator then interjects "Next, questions for Rob or Nick?"

Next question is for Nick: "Nick, can you tell us what you've seen in Emmitt Holt that brought him to this point?"

LOLOLOL

ohh man...that is hilarious.

This is a win-win!  Holt is finally getting minutes and I think motivating Hanner to play harder----and we need them both!

I'll take this 2 headed monster that now gives us 10 fouls to give in the post!

I agree I will be ticked if Holt's minutes are reduced----but I like having both of them available and both have been contributing and even better---both are going to keep improving with major minutes!  Frankly I don't care who starts as long as both play a lot.

Win--win!  :92:
