I think they will roll into the National Championship

I think Houston would be a tough matchup for them. I’d love if they played UConn because that might be a bigger bet for me. I don’t see a lot of opportunity for them against Uconn. There’s a few other tough games for them.

I didn’t think Utah st or tcu were any good. Didn’t take think Gonzaga (playing better tho, I guess) or Kansas were either. I said it after the draw. They got a cake walk to the E8. But remember: Purdue is only a week out from losing to a mediocre Wisconsin team. I won’t be betting on them to win the title just yet. Final Four seems likely though.

Purdue did what 1 seeds are suppose to do and dominate lesser opponents.  They haven’t done that the past couple tourneys so everyone made a big deal about them winning this year early.    Their tourney run was always going to start in the sweet 16.  I don’t care who they were playing these first 2 games they were always going to roll in Indy.  Now their tourney starts

They are about to pull a 2019 Virginia

I’m not suggesting we let go of a Painter but does anybody think if Painter would have been the coach at IU we would have stuck with him when he struggled early on?

We’ve stuck with every piece of crap coach we’ve had for way too long. Why would one that actually wins be the one we cut loose early? He missed the tournament twice in a row after completely rebuilding their program to historical standards (not as high as ours) and is an alum.  That might get you fired at Kentucky. Maybe. But almost no where else.

I’ve got 50 dollars to win 600 on this. They’ve been the best team all year with UConn joining the mix.

Amazing, no one can get Edey in foul trouble.

They’ve got a red hot Gonzaga team next. Mark Few with five days to study them is good.

He’s smart around the rim. He plays in the worst officiated league in the nation, he’s figured it out. If they don’t get to the national championship I’ll be shocked

Yeah, maybe. I win my bet either way. I’d rather lose my $50 bucks.

Thing is, Painter is also a phenomenal coach. And he has Edey who he can dictate the game with. It’s gonna take Purdue just being off plus another team being hot to beat them.

Zags. Meh.

Tennessee can maybe muck it up enough. Creighton can outshoot them, maybe. UConn seems to be the other best team that really has a chance. Enough teams out there to have hope for a loss.

Zags had them down 5 at half the first game they played this year.   I wouldn’t count them out especially with a week to prepare.    Ever since they won at Kentucky they are playing a lot better.  Few also shortened his bench and in the tourney where you get an extra min per timeouts will help.    Either way step up in competition will be significant compared to the 2 layups they got in Indy

Ike is a lot.

Ike is also foul prone.

If by some miracle they can keep Ike on the court I like Gonzaga’s chances.

Very few competitive second round games. I’ll be pulling hard for Grand Canyon and Yale

We are a Marquette house, unless they play IU. Then it’s a house divided. But I like Shaka and will be pulling for them the rest of the way. Oh and everyone who plays Purdue.

Courtney Green with a horrible flagrant call on JMU. Elbowed the JMU guy in the face and got some instant karma. Shows how bad big ten officials are

JMU did not look like the the same team that beat Wisconsin.

Amazing to think that Brad Brownell (Evansville kid) has been at Clemson for 14 seasons. Thinking only Leonard Hamilton has a longer current ACC tenure.

I wouldn't consider Clemson a "destination" for a college basketball coach -- but he doesn't seem to lose enough to get fired, nor win enough to move up the ranks.

Just kinda hangs around ...
