Scouting is a big part of it.   Yeah I would say  they are 3 of the better bigs in college. It’s why coaches get paid the big bucks and are smart enough to not put their eggs in one basket and shows the luck of it sometimes.   They were not considering someone like Edey until they had to.

Kansas scores right out of a timeout.  Water is wet.    Self is the best coach at drawing up a play to get a basket.   Awesome to watch.    Kansas still down 12 though

He took a chance on Keyonte Johnson who hadn’t played in 2 years.   5 star kid at Florida then collapsed on the court the year he was preseason sec player of the year.    Kid is healthy now and Tang struck gold by taking a chance on him that few teams did.

Jalen Wilson committed to Michigan when Beilein was there.  Decommits when he leaves and ends up going  to Kansas.   Self lucked out on that one
