IU drops down 4 spots in the NET from 52 to 56 in a game they were projected to lose on the road. Purdue rises 2 spots to 35. Duke loses on road Tuesday night by 11 to the 2nd worst team in the ACC as 11 point favorites and stays stagnant. This ranking lol.

They were just mad because it wasn’t a year of freshmen. Instead you had guys like Zeller/Oladipo, Russ Mith/Siva, Burke/Hardaway, Plumlee/Curry and more. Was an awesome year. But freshmen they hyped up like Nerlens and Shabazz didn’t live up. Mountain West Conference was really good that year too.

Dayton having its way with Davidson on ESPN2 and in likely the only A10 game outside of their tourney on a major network, TV Teddy snuck his way in.

Interesting tidbit. So I know people have talked about Purdue winning 15 of the last 20 meetings. Which dates back to Creans first season. In that time, there has only been one meeting between the two where both are ranked, which cane in Yogis senior season in Bloomington as we beat them 77-73. IU has been ranked in 7 of the other 19, going 4-2 and being ranked as high as #1. Purdue has been ranked in 9 of the other 12 and going 9-0 and being ranked as high as #3. Purdue is also 3-0 in the 3 games where both are unranked.

As for the 20 games before that, Indiana went 13-7 from 1998-2008. They met as ranked teams 4 times and Indiana went 3-1. Indiana was the only ranked team in 5 games and went 2-3. Purdue was the only ranked team in 3 games and went 1-2. Both were unranked in 8 games and Indiana went 7-1.

I’m excited for Shaka to get canned and get a mid-major rolling again. His gimmick was never going to work at the higher levels, but his VCU teams were fun.
