West Virginia up 4. With 1:38 to go.    There is good to great college coaches everywhere.  Don’t  fall into the trap of IU needing the big name hire to win.   They are out there. Devries can flat out coach.  Playing without his son who happens to be his best player.  Small is ridiculous

He can stay in Morgantown however I will take the head coach.  Probably the coach IU should go after.  Midwest ties and he can really coach.  One of the top guys on my list

Man, how much better would be we with either Javon Small or Ryan Conwell as lead guards? Both Indiana kids too.

Sitting right behind their bench in Hulman last season was a treat. My only regret was that it was so loud in there you couldn’t really hear any bench activity, but that whole staff was grinding.

Probably not much better.  Coach still coaches them.   Rice was one of my favorite guards to watch last year.  He is no where near the player he was last year in a different system

Yeah, probably. 
Both are significantly better from distance though, and have been their whole careers. 
Rice isn’t our primary issue by any means, just expected more from him given how great his tape looked last year. Ballo has been himself…but Rice has seemed overmatched more often than not this year.

DeVries.  I haven’t watched enough of McCollum over the years. I’ve watched him all this year and I’m very impressed however I’ve been impressed with DeVries for awhile now.   Either one would probably be successful here.

DeVries is terrific. Wow, another really good candidate in his 1st year at a new gig. Gonna go out on a limb and suggest that maybe, just maybe, IU trying to give Woody a soft landing may have been more costly than just bucks.

It was hard for me to separate him from his kid but it sounds like he’s been winning without him.
