They're both "shooters" who aren't really having anything consistently run to get them open. I believe P Stew has it in him to get open but Kopp seems a half dozen steps too slow on both ends. Wasn't saying they were 'scorers' as opposed to 'shooters', but right now the two of them are not working well on the court at the same time. Basically that leaves X as the only guy driving in an X/Stewart/Kopp/Thompson/TJD lineup. I'd rather have X and Galloway with the ability to drive and kick to either TJD or Thompson or outside to Stewart or Kopp, whichever is in. Quote

I disagree somewhat. Parker doesn’t move much at all on offense. When he does move it’s not anything close to full speed. Kopp is much better than Parker on the defensive end. He is very active with his hands. thebigweave and Stuhoo 2 Quote

The best case scenario is they would disrupt on defense and get out an run. If we only have 1 shooter on the floor then the defense will totally collapse and Race - Trayce will struggle in the paint. We need some players to develop in the off-season (not talk about developing but actually developing) to have better rounded threats. Quote

Neither would ever be confused with an above average defender. P Stew gets hung on screens if he tries to get around them while Kopp is too many steps behind to contest shots. Again, neither is a plus defender. When we actually run sets for P Stew he hits at a pretty good % while Kopp.. doesn't. Don't look at Kopp's win shares for conference play, it's horrendous. (this stat alone doesn't tell the whole story but paired with watching the games it's rather obvious) Quote
RaceToTheTop Posted January 25, 2022 Posted January 25, 2022 St Johns up a dozen in the first half at seton hall Quote
Uspshoosier Posted January 25, 2022 Posted January 25, 2022 St Johns up 20 with 5:44 min to go in the first half. St. John’s needs this game badly. Quote

RaceToTheTop Posted January 25, 2022 Posted January 25, 2022 At half, St. John's 46, Seton Hall 36. Quote
RaceToTheTop Posted January 25, 2022 Posted January 25, 2022 At least IU had the decency to fire Archie Miller. Chris Mack is dying a slow death. Quote
Uspshoosier Posted January 25, 2022 Posted January 25, 2022 St. John’s is running Seton Hall out of their own gym. St. John’s up 24 with 6 min to go. if this score holds up it will be interesting to see how big of jump St Johns makes in the NET Quote

Strange quad breakdown for them. At 10-7, they were 0-6 in Q1 coming in, 3-0 in Q3, and 7-1 in Q4. Not a single Q2 game. That's a split that looks like Mike Davis's Texas Southern teams would have that would schedule tough P5 non conference road games and then get to their conference schedule. Quote
RaceToTheTop Posted January 25, 2022 Posted January 25, 2022 Was looking at some net ratings.....St. Bonaventure all the way down at 92? Ranked in the top 25 early in the year. Quote

I know that it was the first on-campus game there in like 40 years, Have to say I see why.......that's a really, really bad gymnasium. That wouldn't even make for a decent Indiana high school gym. RaceToTheTop Posted January 25, 2022 Posted January 25, 2022 Don't understand how the review rule allows you to review in the last two minutes of regulation but then in OT it resets and you can't review until the last two minutes of OT. There are so many needless reviews inside two minutes of blowouts but a lot of things that could use review in OT. Quote
RaceToTheTop Posted January 25, 2022 Posted January 25, 2022 Update on former Hoosiers three point shooting: Armaan Franklin 27 of 105 (26%) Al Durham 16 of 65 (25%) Jerome Hunter 13 of 49 (27%) (way back Hoosier) Clifton Moore 4 of 24 (17%) HoosierHoops1 and WayneFleekHoosier 2 Quote
RaceToTheTop Posted January 25, 2022 Posted January 25, 2022 Goal tend call on Kansas. Looked like a close but good call. Review on it? Never knew that was reviewable. If so, that's bad as it goes to the possession arrow if they overturn it. Basically hands the ball back to Kansas despite them not actually getting the ball. IMO, looked close but goal tend. Certainly isn't clear cut. Quote
