College Bball Thread

  1. Kentucky has an overwhelming majority of their players who have absolutely no intention of working toward a college degree.
  2. Kentucky plays off campus, and their players live in a players only country club lodge.
  3. Calipari recruited and signed Bledsoe, who quite literally was illiterate.
  4. Also brought in James Young, MKG, Dakari Johnson and Nerlens Noel, who were just about Bledsoe-level academically.
  5. They won't play IU on a college campus.
  6. Boosters paid Davis.
  7. Coach has been the face of and head coach of two programs which were destroyed on his watch.
  8. They have won a title with Calipri as coach. Once. With a yearly roster of at least four or five 5 star players at a time.
  9. Their fans seem to think that this combination makes them a superior program, and they shout their supposed superiority over IUBB every chance they get. Personally, I consider Rutgers a more successful college basketball program.

They hate IU with a condescending arrogance that is unrivaled. YOU WANT TO BE LIKE THAT?!?

Shame. Shame, shame, shame.

They do. They just don't have the consistency.

depends on your definition of consistency. If you define consistency as giving your team a chance every year for a national title then actually Duke is the most consistent out of Kentucky and uconn because in that span Duke has made the tournament each year while uconn and Kentucky wasn't as consistent and played in the nit a couple years

1. Who cares? They can get their degree at any point in time in their lives.
2. Who cares where they play and have players live.
3. Bledsoe was recruited by Billy Gillespie and committed before Cal was hired.
4. I don't really know about the academics of those players. I do know that MKG was an absolute monster in college and destroyed us.
5. They won't play us on a campus. I have a problem with that too. But also understandable why they don't considering CBB is a big money business and a recruiting game.
6. There is zero proof that boosters paid Davis.
7. Still no proof with his involvement.
8. They have won 1 national title. And have been to the Final Four two other times. They've only missed the Elite 8 once.
9. They have a right to shout over anyone with their success. That is how it works. The game is about winning. That is what they do. They may been spitting loose teeth and smoking meth but the team they like wins.

Kentucky played in the NIT that one year Noel got hurt. Hard to say if they would have made it with him healthy even. Other than that they haven't missed the Elite 8. I'd say that is consistent.

1. Who cares? They can get their degree at any point in time in their lives. They don't. Period.
2. Who cares where they play and have players live. So, if IU played in Lucas and the players lived at the Four Seasons that'd be cool? No.
3. Bledsoe was recruited by Billy Gillespie and committed before Cal was hired. Now you're just plain lying. Bledsoe was going to Memphis to play for World Wide Wes, er, I mean Calipari until Calipari switched.
4. I don't really know about the academics of those players. I do know that MKG was an absolute monster in college and destroyed us. But was he a COLLEGE player? Nope.
5. They won't play us on a campus. I have a problem with that too. But also understandable why they don't considering CBB is a big money business and a recruiting game. Then let's play our games at Lucas, or Madison Square Garden, or at the Bellagio in Vegas.
6. There is zero proof that boosters paid Davis. Merely lots of circumstantial evidence.
7. Still no proof with his involvement. Other than being the head coach throughout.
8. They have won 1 national title. And have been to the Final Four two other times. They've only missed the Elite 8 once.
9. They have a right to shout over anyone with their success. That is how it works. The game is about winning. That is what they do. They may been spitting loose teeth and smoking meth but the team they like wins. The game is not SOLELY about winning. It is about doing so with a reasonable amount of class, integrity, and a connection to college student athletes.

Nope. Born and raised Indiana fan. Just one that recognizes success of other teams without my crimson glasses on.
