I predict IU will break into the AP 25 poll this year.

Don't be suprised if you see FGCU there as well later in the yr.

I think IU will be better than last, but find it difficult to crack top 25. Mainly because we are young and some tough teams early. That Canada experience will prove to be huge for our early season success.

Only one person seems to be surprised in this thread

 I thought about it a little more after I started it and I could see where a so called expert would see it that way outside looking in.

I not surprised as much doubtful we will be that bad. I really feel like last year was a train wreck..There was definitely some underlying issues with that team and I think the cause of those are gone now.At least on the squad side of things.

 Coupled with 5 new shooters on this team I see great promise and also think the big man issue is being a little overblown.

 Just my opinion and we all know about those things.

 And beside that I was getting tired of talking about Bigs in boots! :biggrin:

IU doesn't pay forward the love to all of us, the fans..

when the big mouths of media seem to diss, or underestimate any given IU squad...

then we get to see our Hoosiers play with a chip on their collective shoulder's and an effort to prove everybody wrong...

I will weigh in and be a homer like Naples on this one---I say we crack the top 25 early---fall out during the first part of the Big which is brutal---and then climb back into the top 25 by Big tourney time as we end the Big strong!

I see this as being true also but I hate to admit that is the trait of a program who hasn't had consistent and recent success, so we play like an underdog. Maybe call it the Butler, Colorado or Iowa State Syndrome?

Dickie V does go on and on about his devils---but there was a time when Knight was here that we got the same love from him and he went on and on about our Hoosiers.  Maybe I am a little jealous it's still not like that!  It was always a blast when I was on campus and he used to come to town!
