the IU gear came back out after we beat UK. Very Noticeable difference after that game. IU gear was cool again.

WayneFleek---I was up in your neck of the woods for business late last year and was impressed with Fort Wayne's downtown improvements like the conference center and especially the baseball stadium!

I also have noticed a slight increase in IU stuff in the last 3 years here in Southern Indiana.  Unfortunately, UK stuff still outnumbers IU stuff about 3 to 1. :angry:

ahh...calendars...remember when Alford had to sit out against UK in 1985 for appearing in a calendar for charity?

  I remember him sitting out but for some reason it seems to me that the choice for the game to miss came from Bobby.

All about the pettiness of it all so I made him sit against the most rotten program of all time.

 I could be wrong ,that was a long time ago but I definitely remember coach Knight making that point  when asked.

Very uncharacteristically he was pissed.

Alford had to sit one game, and it came down to UK or a B1G opponent...Knight chose UK due to the BigTen season games being more important in his mind...

yeah i get one every year itll probably be few weeks from now when they release them. A lot of places used to hand em out here in Ft. Wayne but not so much anymore.

sometimes spiece field house will have them. Not sure when though.

It was a sorority calender with proceeds going to charity if I remember correctly. His soph year I think.

Remember it well. It did not take much to get Knight ticked---but that seemed so ticky--- tack at the time!
