Besides THE HALL at IU---- what do you think is the toughest Big Ten arena to play in and why?

 

I'll pick the obvious one----The Kohl Center at Wisconsin.

 

Wisconsin never seems to lose there---it's the place where Big Ten teams go to die!

Parakeet--that does make Purdue a tough place to play! Players cannot concentrate on the game with all the stench and brown paper bags everywhere! It's a tremendous home court advantage!

the Izzone for sure, and well the Kohl Center...

 

and as it turns out...it seems that guarantee wins in Lincoln, NE are anything but...so...

Okay, here is my serious answer.  I'm going to go away from the obvious places (Kohl, Breslin) and go with the barn at Minnesota.  From an IU perspective, even our good teams have struggled mightily up there at times.  As far as the rest of the B1G, well they struggle there too.  The elevated floor is tricky and I think they have a unique home court situation that plays to their advantage there.

Kohl Center is up there.  I hate when we go there, and the refs always swallow their whistles.

2012-2013 was a special year...IU won in places that it hasn't won in decades...

but...if you break it down...there are some damn tough places to win in the B1G...

Turning this thread around---what are the easiest arenas to get a win in on a Big Ten road game?

   I have a feeling Marylands not going to be an easy road game.

They have a nice new arena  with students right on top of you and have had a pretty strong program for years.

With all the talent in that area I expect Turgen to get them going.That is if Louisville and kenny Johnson don't steal them all.
