It is on a smaller scale. The "ends" where our bleachers are behind the baskets are the opposite at Vandy. Very very strange court
 

Saw your post about the Vandy arena and I thought I would share my fan experience. I spent my spring break at the 1973 Mideast Regional and Vanderbuilt was the host site. Our seats were at the end of the floor behind the team bench. It had an unusual feel to the place. To me it lacked balance as each side looked different. We beat Marquette and then Kentucky to advance to the Final Four. It was a memorable experience and seeing the Kentucky fans selling their final four tickets to some IU fans was an indescribable joy.

If you never get a chance to go to Rupp, count yourself lucky. It's horrendous. But maybe I'm a little biased.

I agree with AllHoosiers that Rupp is horrendous but you still have to go at least once.  When I went --I found it to be dingy and dirty and not well- maintained.

 

And ---their fans are not near as rowdy as ours!

I suggest catching the tournament at Univ. of Dayton Arena one year. Fun atmosphere. Cool town.

I agree with your assessment of Rupp. I first walked in and thought "Wow that floor looks awesome." Then I looked around and thought "Wow this whole place looks awful."

Unfortunately--it's also only a matter of time before UK upgrades/rebuilds. I am looking forward to IU's upgrades because we have our share of improvements to make too.  But---The Hall has a much better BBall atmosphere than coRUPPt arena!
