Again--I am not saying I agree with these antics---but they are part of Hoosier coaching history/legend. We can't debate whether they occurred--but we can debate whether we agree with them.

Coach Knight in 2002 vs Duke..."it's just Duke...it's not like we are playing the University of Jesus Christ and the 12 disciples..."

That had to inspire those guys on some kind of cosmic level that we could never understand.

Eric Gordon just didn't want to play for Davis (and I can't blame him, I wouldn't want that clown coaching a pick up game), so I'm not sure how much credit Samsung should actually get for that.

Well, we started off that one year looking like a real contender.  Granted, the **** hit the fan and it fell apart.

Crean brought us Cody Zeller we all went nuts because it put us back on the map and would have given us banner #6 which by the way didn't happen and makes us all wonder what if.

One I had forgotten about as a little before my viewing time---UK Coach Joe B Hall and Knight got into an argument during a timeout of a IU/UK game in 1974 and Knight went over to the UK bench to continue the argument. The ref sent Knight back to his bench and as Knight left he hit or patted roughly (depending on who you believe) Coach Hall on the back of the head. 
 
Hall claimed it humiliated him in front of his fans and Knight said it was done in "affection". Later Knight said "If Joe didn't like it--I offer an apology. If it was meant to be malicious, I would have blasted him into the seats!"
 
And we think we have heated rivalries nowadays?????   :banghead:

I was at that game. As I recall, after Knight gave Joe B. the love tap, the Kentucky assistant coach decided he go after Knight. They had to be pulled apart in front of the scores bench. I loved it!

Eh "The Movement" part of it was crap, but we got Yogi. Can't complain, especially if Hanner is improving.
