I could go on all day about this. Kentucky basketball is all the majority of these fans have to look forward to year-round. It's why they're so passionate about it. It's why they defend it to the death. It's one thing they can point to and say "Stick it, pal. We may be a bunch of uneducated hillbillies, but we kick your butt in hoops and you wish your ball team was half as good as ours."

The thought of cheating doesn't even faze them. I've seen many comments on their boards about how they don't care if all their banners get taken down; as long as they have the memories of winning it's good enough for them.

you are more correct than you know...I come from a very large family, most of which lives in Kentucky...

I love them dearly, but their allegiance to UK is borderline grounds for family expulsion (they feel the same way about me, I'm sure)...

Full disclosure----I agree ou812dude---I also have family in Kentucky (I know---that explains a lot doesn't it!)--they are delusional when it comes to sports---tunnel vision all the way----they don't care about much of anything as long as they win!  If I bring up UK's long-term pattern of cheating---they just say I am jealous of their success.

It's no fun trying to argue with STUPIDITY!

An easy giggle for a slow day, courtesy of Fox Sports:

http://www.foxsports.com/college-football/outkick-the-coverage/the-ten-dumbest-fan-bases-in-america-2-the-kentucky-wildcats-102213

What would happen if you took the worst parts of the Midwest and combined it with the worst parts of the South?

You'd have the state of Kentucky.

Kentucky is the chinstrap bearded white guy in the oversized jean shorts and high top tennis shoes who rolls up to your tailgate and says, "Yo, where the ******* at?" Not surprisingly, "the *******" are never with him.

And who do the vast majority of dumb Kentuckians root for? Kentucky's basketball team, of course.  Kentucky basketball fans are the dumbest basketball fans in the country and there isn't a close second.

My favorite is one of the comments in the comment section points out how all the Kentucky comments kind of prove the satirical point the article is making. None of the Kentucky fans are even touching it since it probably just flew over all their heads
