Our five "big" non conference games

Jeremy Tyler as well. Was a Louisville recruit, I think he even bypassed his senior year or took extra classes to graduate early to go overseas. Something like that.

Brandon Jennings was a highly rated Burger Boy, but that's it. I think that's what you were asking anyway. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Could be more behind the Muddiay story. There were rumors circulating yesterday about eligibility issues. This was his school. @FOX4: BREAKING ~ Prime Prep Academy has been shut down by state officials http://t.co/4aDg8MyhkL http://t.co/WTLAIpGDsR Sent from my place of advanced, analytical thinking: the toilet.

I think it was surrounding his amateurism. Prime Prep has always been a bit scummy. Dion Sanders started it or something.

Could be interesting to see where Elijah Thomas goes next year

Yep, that place was a train wreck. Surprised it lasted as long as it did. Thomas left before last season.

If we are not at least 3-2 in these games, Butler, Gtown, Pitt being the wins, we are in for an AWFULLY long season. We should be at least able to play with SMU in the hall. Louisville is going to be tough to handle, and I am not sure we will be able to play with them down low. That being said, I am gonna hope for the best that the guys have been working really hard and we are gonna shock the world with another big turnaround season.

Tough week for Larry Brown...

@EvanDaniels: Matt McQuaid, a top tier shooter in 2015, is reopening his recruitment and backing off his commitment to SMU, per his coach Wes Grandstaff.

Indiana will host UNC-Greensboro on Nov. 28. #iubb via @deruark.

This may not belong in here because it isn't one of the biggest five but i didn't know where else to put it. Move it if possible

Pittsburgh went 4-0 in the Bahamas over this past week. they finished their foreign trip today with their latest win.
I don't think we can tell much from this in regards to how good the Panthers are, because the competition was obviously extremely lacking, but worth noting.

More tough times for Larry..

SMU may be without one of the biggest pieces of their team this upcoming season if Markus Kennedy can't become eligible for the 2014-15 season.

“As of today, Markus still has some work to do to meet eligibility standards for competition this season," SMU Head Coach Larry Brown said. "SMU provides great resources for its student-athletes."

This would be a massive loss in what has already been a rough few months for the Mustangs, as Kennedy was second-team All-AAC last season after averaging 12.4 points and 7.1 rebounds per game. He's also a very active defensive player at 6-foot-9, and was expected to pair with Nic Moore to form one of the most dynamic duos in the AAC.

Saw this earlier.. the report makes it seem like Marukus just isn't eligible YET, but makes it seem like he will be soon enough. They will miss him being out there for sure, but as long as he's back by normal conference games, then they will be fine.

Wonder if he will be available for the game against IU? If so, then that would be best for everyone but if not, then we would really be able to do some work on them in Assembly Hall.
