Glad to see your posts again.  Are you switching over here rather than the "other" posting site?

I visit both but generally do not post over there.  My username "Creanfan" seems to draw a lot of discussion.  :D

Last I heard they had secured 3 of 4 cable providers in NYC so I'd say that's a great thing for us. BTN in 12 million more households in NYC plus however many in NJ and the DMV is a great thing financially for IU, an athletic department typically a step behind due to our lack of a competent football program.

Embrace it! I think Rutgers football is gonna surprise some in the B1G this season

Won't we still be a step behind other B10 programs though? We get an equal split, so it's really just moving the 0's based on our football disadvantage.

I'm actually okay with the expansion in general and like the Maryland addition. I just wish we could have gotten maybe UConn instead of Rutgers. I also hate how little we'll be playing Western B10 schools in football going forward. When Nebraska joined the conference I really looked forward to the idea of going to Lincoln the first time we played out there. When's that going to happen now? 2018 or something like that?

A lot in here like to point out that we care about national titles in basketball, not B1G titles so yeah I think an athletic department flush with cash is a good thing to push that forward.
Look at it this way guys, in Rutgers we have a school we can beat in every sport every year. And in Maryland we have a team we can beat in football
Ehh I'd be careful with this. Rutgers football has been well ahead of us for years. Who knows how Eddie Jordan will do but they seem like a basketball program that could easily get a player or two and really compete if they hire the right coach. The recruiting in northern NJ is very competitive but if they could pull a couple of those guys they'd be a major factor.

I don't disagree; I just think that from a financial standpoint we'll be in no better shape relative to the rest of the conference.
