Good to hear him congratulate Noah, seeing as this is the only public congratulation I have heard/seen so far. As some have mentioned, he posted a picture of Cody and Vic from last year and was even re tweeting Dante Exum's tweets.

Crean clearly wanted GARY HARRIS.  Admitted having INDIANA players already committed that affected this decision.  I assume he is referring to Etherington, Davis, Hollowell.

 

Comments on Dunham were a good compliment to Dunham.  Kind of admitted he missed on him.

 

Kind of admitted misses with Patterson and Hollowell.

 

Noah Vonleh comments were about the same as normal except DD says NV was a pure jump shooter in AAU.  Crean puts him in post.  I think there lies the issue.  NV wanted to play more freely and on the perimeter as he has done in the past.  Crean sat him in the paint.  (Not saying that's a negative necessarily)

 

The chemistry comments were interesting in general.

I'll be shocked if Hartman graduates from IU.

I could be wrong, but I believe official visits can't start until the beginning of a kid's senior year of high school. So it would have to be a 2014 kid.

Recruits are allowed to take official visits starting January 1st of their junior year per an ESPN article.

I think i know who:

 

He's currently unaffiliated after recently renouncing his prior commitment.

He plays BIG.

He once verballed to Ohio State, but never played there.

He still has four years of college eligibility.

He has lots of family in the Midwest.

He's gotten a big thumbs up recommendation about Coach Crean from one of CTC's former players.

He said we are "still" recruiting 2 more at the Huber's Winery speech a few weeks or so ago. Probably nothing left at this point in '14. Move on Coach!

I would hope that if it's a 2014, he's over 6'5" AND has only one year of eligibility left (ie - grad transfer or JUCO).

 

If so, then it's ok.

What are the odds that it's this kid? I know he's supposed to be visiting Missouri this weekend. He's also reclassifying to 2014 potentially.

Nice to hear Crean speak openly and honestly about all of this. You hear so much "coach speak" from these guys it makes it that much better to hear a coach finally get real.
