Cool twitter exchange from Paul George and Blackmon .

Paul George asked : IU.... When y'all running?

Blackmon: replied telling him to come on down for a run, says they run "erryday".

How cool is that for the college athletes???
I'd love to be a fly on the wall for that open gym. Who guards him? Lol

IDK, ask Basketball4IU.

Seriously though, no one could begin to guard PG. TWill has the length, but too slow laterally. Same for Hanner. Our Guards aren't long enough. He would need doubled/tripled all day. I would probably put TWill on him and dedicate a Big to pressure when he flys by.

Not to take this too seriously, but that could be a huge help to our guys. They need to absorb everything they can from PG. Could form a long term relationship too. He's been known to make it down for a big game or two.

I'm praying for 2014-2015 IUBB season to be a great one. I truly believe that the last year freshman, now sophomores have a point to prove and they are out for blood this year. More will be revealed in the season to come. #GOHOOSIERS I BELIEVE IN YOU ALL

As a long time Hoosier fan, please let this be so. I am an IU grad, and I have followed them for many many years through good and bad times. One must know when you read these boards they can sometimes be filled with some angry posts, especially after a tough loss or season. Please don't take them personally. The Hoosier basketball family is a very passionate one, as there is nothing quite like Indiana basketball. We are proud Hoosiers who support our team. Welcome to the board Mom.

Thank you I really appreciate you saying that. Last year, and being new to the whole"board thing" I was very upset the way people who were suppose to be fans talked about kids that played for THEM! So I showed it by saying some STUFF that I really should have let ride over my head. So my son told me to get off of the boards because that's what they do. He was more mature about it then I was. But I took his advice, and got off. Well I'm back again but with more "JESUS" in me and I know people will talk just as I do and everyone has an "OPINION" whether I like it or not. But I sincerely thank you for your comment. It makes me feel better about "BTOWNBANNER" Have a blessed Day!

A few things:

1) That was a great post - your honesty and passion shines.

2)  As frustrating as it may seem, BtownBanners is (In my opinion) the least 'trash our players' board out there. It may be hard to believe, but man o man some of the other boards are brutally unrealistic and cynical.

3) You know SO MUCH MORE about the reality of IU basketball than the other posters on this board (myself certainly included). That dynamic affects some people who aren't 'in the know' in a negative way. They speculate very loudly; they're not naturally optimistic people by nature; and hurtful, inaccurate stuff is posted.

That's why reading the board is a great way to take the temperature of our fanbase; depending on where and who you look at, our fanbase is smart, passionate, knowledgeable, unknowledgeable, moronic, fantastic, optimistic, realistic, unrealistic, hopeful...in other words, it reflects the entire range of emotions you see in these usually unfiltered posts.

Having someone with a real knowledge of the program that feels such pride in our players and the future is FAR more interesting and relevant than most any other post we'll see. It is very, very much appreciated, and people should take careful note.

For What It's Worth, I'll give you my take on Indiana University basketball going forward:

I.

CAN'T.

WAIT!

I'm starting to feel very different about this board now, and that's a good thing, but I still won't let my "guard" down but I can grow to love it. ❤️ I look forward to reading more good and bad and I will take it as it comes. I just know that we are all going for the same result; wins, wins and more wins in the Basketball season to come

It's good to have "more Jesus" in you if you read after a loss. Nah, just kidding. BtownBanners is my absolute favorite place to get Hoosier bball info. And after a loss, I come here to mourn with others that take the losses as hard as I do.

I, too, want to thank you for contributing. It is truly refreshing to hear your POV. You are "connected" to the program in a real sense, but we all feel connected in a different sense. We ALL want the best for Indiana Basketball, above all else. Disregard the junk, as I am sure you will undoubtedly hear here or anywhere else. Your son is a true talent and We collectively wish him all the best.

It is easy to forget that families are reading these boards, and your reminder is an insightful look at the personal affects these boards can have.
